Second BP build, first was welder ship by hand. For some reason every time I goto move, the ship starts slowly sinking. Even squeezed 3 extra thrusters on each side. Any ideas?

Anyone having Issues with battery? Fully charged I couldn't even fly to ice lake 15km away, mine some ice and fly back. Am I doing something wrong?

Forgive me i am new to this game. This mod is not showing up in the mods list. What do i need to do?

Thrusters are all kinds of messed up and don't fire half the time, the batteries won't recharge, and I didn't change any of the settings on it. Was it supposed to be that way?

I can't seem to get it to move. The ship has power and the thrusters are running but no matter what I do it just won't take off. Am I missing something?

To me it's just good efficiency to not have down thrust in gravity. Carrying thrusters that are barely required is just dead mass. You can mine straight down while keeping the craft level to the horizon using right click mode for the drills and spinning around while slowly lowering so there's no reason to ever be pointed straight down.

@LUZIFER has a point if you ever find yourself upside down with this miner it is a pain to get it back up. I was mining strait down because I have found myself in a very flat environment and the miner lacks the ability to fly downwards when pointed strait down

@Walter, check if any of the conveyor blocks are damaged or unfinished/missing. Also make sure you check which items you can actually pull through small conveyor frames. There's specific items that can only go through big conveyor blocks and not the small ones. (9x9 ported ones, not 1x1 ones.)

really love this miner. been having issues finding good ships that dont use reactors lately

@LUZIFER The design and the capabilities of the vessel does not require it to have downward facing thrusters, as it's mainly used in atmospheric environments(which should have gravity) and thus; carrying a heavy load when your upward thrusters can barely manage and adding downward facing ones could have you crashing into the ground at a fast pace.

As for the Gyros, they should be in mimic'd position on either ends so if it's on one battery's left, should be on the other battery's right.

I'm in the process of building this thing right now and I'm fairly new to the game. Am I not seeing correctly or does this thing have no downward thrusters? how do you steer this thing completely/correctly without them? Also projector says there are 4 gyros but can't find them.

Hi, how long have you been making this up and how long has it taken you to build and put it into operation?

I have the same issue except with iron. I had to turn off the ejectors to keep my ore.

Check the settings on the sorters, they should be set to whitelist and stone only, if gold is in that list the ejectors will spit out your gold. I'm not sure how that would have happened as it definitely wasn't set up that way, but it's worth checking.

I'm having a very odd issue, where e.g. Gold just gets spit out - even when all the containers are completely empty!
I've checked for integrety (missing blocks) in the projector - It says all blocks are there and fully built.

Before I also noticed that, when the containers are full and you keep mining - instead of the drills filling up, they get emptied still, but the ores then also get ejected. What I would expect to happen is the containers beeing full of ore, the drills filling up with ore/stone and then nothing happening anymore.

Altough the Gold beeing spit out immediately is much more troublesome, naturally :(

1. One of the reverse thrusters in the blueprint is incomplete.
2. It doesn't have enough reverse thrust to hold itself up while it's digging down in to the ground.

Did the ion version had too much upward thrust?

someone reuploaded your butterball after adding ion thrusters to it... only after someone told them to credit you did they put "splitsie special" for the description

I added a Hydrogen system to recharge battery's whilst on the move

Not really a major problem or anything, but I spawned it in a creative world and one of the underneath thrusters is incomplete

I am a total newby when it comes to space engineers. I am enjoying very minute of it. And I was equally excited when I tried and built Butterball. Until I started my first mining expedition. Butterball got stuck inside the mining hole and I could not get it to reverse out. I even override the reverse thrusts, and it did not matter what i tried. I WAS STUCK. Eventually I gave up and left it in the mine. I suppose at some stage I will gather up the courage to grind it down and start all over again.

Hi , I made this ship , thanks its cool , but I missed out the projector in the center of the ship , only noticing later on.
I removed the cockpit to fit the projector and now with the cockpit replaced , all the toolbars have gone and I don't know how it was set up :(
Can you help?

I originally started playing SE because I had no internet, and why not right? well the more I did the more I fell in love with the game. But I Still Had no idea how to play, and that's when I came across your 9 part tutorial, which was more of a casual play through where you explained how to play, And I loved it. Then I started watching your coop series with Capac (my cousin gets drunk and laughs because Capac is his favourite now) and it's just really great to find a series to watch that's entertaining.
