does this work with 1.35?

I would really really appreciate if this could become compatible with Extended Timeline, thanks. As of now even the vanilla religions (I tested it with Hindu) don't allow for defender of the faith when it's paired up with Extended Timeline

I THINK there's a way to tell the game to like 'only add this to the vanilla file' rather than full replace, but I sure as hell dont know it.
Otherwise this and my english strait mods would essentially be perma updated.

Its not bugged but it seems like the numbers and effects of the religions have not been updated to 1.34 (I looked through the file). Personally I am just gonna make my own local mod but for people that subscribe to this mod I'd recommend copy pasting the new 00_religions.txt file and then adding the pu enabler to update it.

What has bugged?

Please remember that just because the launcher says its outdated, it may still work. All the launcher is doing is reading one line of what version it is for, nothing more.

If something is actually broken then yeah, will try to update it. :D

@jglennv1 I do try to keep them updated, and its not much of a problem for me.
Takes me longer to remember how the hell the new mod definitions work than it takes to actually update the mods.

Was waiting for the update to be balanced before I came back, but seems some want to mod already, so here you go.

please make a compatibility patch for ET religions.

Just had a friend who had never used my mod try it for me, see if it worked for someone without the local copy or any previous version of the mod, and they have reported back, with pictures, that they can use the mod perfectly.

So I can say the issue is on your end.
Sometimes EU4 is wonky with mods, maybe exit Steam and restart it?

Just got told in the forums the steam copy wasnt working for me because the game doesnt like it if there's a local AND a steam copy of the same mod in the same folder.
Removed the local copy and suddenly the mod is working with the steam version.

Try to reload it again and see if it works now. Maybe the tweaks I did while trying to fix it did work and I just didnt notice due to the conflict.

The local copy of the mod works just fine, but if I subscribe to it and use that copy, it fails to work...

I have looked over the code of the descriptor, and even compared it to other mods I know work, and they dont have any difference I can tell. :S

I am honestly stumped. Will ask in the mod subforum to see if more adept modders can help me figure it out, because I cant.

So i checked the files where the mod stuff goes and I see that there is a descriptor file present, but the launcher is not recognizing it as such.

This mod lacks a descriptor file which prevents me from enabling this mod. I have unsubed and resued, deleted the entire mod folder, and resubed to all mods, reloaded the mods via the button on the launcher and still no descriptor file.

The new launcher sucks, but its done.

Should work fine now. But do tell me if you stumble upon some bug or issue, as I cant never be 100% sure its all in order. :D

That said, is the mod not working right? Afaik they didnt change anything religious in this patch, did they?
So barring it having wrong version it should work regardless if they did not add or change anything in religion.

Also, while this allows PUs, it may prove hard to get one without forcing it a bit with other religions since you cant interfaith marriage if PUs are allowed for some reason.

But muslims should be able to get PUs yeah.

I don't see any change with the Islamites and other religions, is it because the islamites have 100%+ heir chance which lowers the chance of a union?

Couldnt tell you honestly.
Thinking about it it SHOULD work, since it only adds some stuff, rather than change perse, so the game shouldnt freak out.

But the only way to know would be to try and load the savefile with it on.
If it doesnt, just disable it again I guess, no harm to the save file in the end.

Should work fine, given it only seems to have modified Poland's region, so unless they messes the straits over in Livonian Order, then I would imagine nothing else moved.

The 'outdated' thing in the launcher is after all just reading the game version line in its file, for these minor mods, odds are patches dont break them generally.

(That said, if it IS broken somewhere, do tell and I will update properly)

(Shame about the disabling of inter-faith marriages. It kind of takes a lot from it for me. Did you by any chance found a way around that?)

Everyone here asking for a ET compatible version need to SHUTUP. Making something like this ET compatible is a big task. almost bigger than the mod itself already is.
I would know that. I once uploaded a mod like this one. (but stopped updating it at some point lmao)
