@stephen that's just the way the game works. Buildings that are zoned and grow generate a random name. Buildings that are plopped (via various methods) retain their given name.

I've noticed two types of behaviors for buildings that are randomly placed in-game. Some, like the Strictoaster Cafe, are always placed as the "Strictoaster Cafe." Conversely, I've got gas stations that may be called "Quiet Corner Stop," or any random name. Is there a way to hard-code those buildings so they always use a name I designate (like the Strictoaster Cafe does)?

Ideally, assets like this would number themselves. So the original Strictoaster Cafe would be "Strictoaster Cafe No. 1," the next one "Strictoaster Cafe No. 2," etc., but I don't suppose the game supports a configuration like that out of the box.

Does this building appear when zoned in the corner of a road? Because it looks like it. Anyways, I love having a retro, 50's inspired diner in my cities. Thanks once again, Leno, for another amazing asset.
