However, the one thing I don't get is that Valve didn't change Nick's overall appearance from his first appearance, while almost every other character by them had drastic changes before release, and Valve are known for changing absolutely everything.
Nick actually did undergo changes before release; however, they're fairly minor. The only noticeable difference I can think of is that his suit was much cleaner, whereas in the final version his suit pants are covered knee-high in dirt. His hair was also slightly shorter (in the E3 2009 teaser trailer), but it's very hard to notice.
If it's not too much trouble, Revenant, I'd like to see this put into the definitive collection as well.
