im not sure if this will help with the bumpiness but what if you make more than one sphere exactly like the one you have now but at a different angle so it would create a smoother surface im not sure never used hammer although ive tried

This is quite a fun map. Only problem is that it is a bit bumpy, but it seems that you're working for a solution so I won't complain much because this is pretty much the first map of I've seen like it.

I agree with you, the standard amount of vertices is 8, i changed it to the maximum which 16. The problem is that making more polygon brushes drastically increases the lag on a map. I wish I could make it smoother. If anyone knows how to increase vertices in hammer above 16, let me know.

My only complaint is that the inside doesn't seem to have enough polygons, so that when you drive along the inner surface it seems bumpy.

Seems like garrys bombs 3 just got banned, that sucks, they were a lot of fun on this map, guess i have to rely on nukes now

I might as well try it. Whenever someone makes a map or addon with no screenshot I think that it would create scary ambient, or spawn zombies in places, or whatever.

It is a lot of fun, you can drive vehicles in loops, made debris fly all over the place using fans and bombs, and debris doesnt get caught in corners
