hasn't ANYONE noticed that the Keep looks like the Guard Tower from Age of Empires: Rise of Rome Expansion?

This mod more than conflicts. When playing on the "Expansions" data set it actually infects some of the architectures and makes Town Centers look wonky.

The castle is too small ^^ ,
In the original dat file , fire/flag effect are sharef with other .
For exemple Each castle use the same flag effect , IA didn't put unique effect for each civ .
Check the Italian mill when it burn , you'll see some flying flames , that's because the original mill had propeller , but this skin his more Asian style mill.
On my personal version of AoE II , I just put asian style mill burn effect , on the Italian mill.
But it change the dat file ....

yeah, i'm pretty new with the graphic mods and i noticed this problem also in other mods. But it's ugly to see the flags floating. Maybe the problem here is the castle too small. Maybe with the other castle the flags don't floating in the air, even if they are not perfectly positioned.

Well @Diamond Creed I'll make a tiny add-on just for you

On my personal version I don't have this bug , because i changed IA ,
Maybe one day there will be a new IA version with unique fire/flag effect (god it will be so long to make this)

That sort of thing is not unusual with re-texturing architectures. It has to do with the way the flag graphics are added, and may occur with that other castle too.

Just to get this clear, if I install this with IA, I can get just the Italian architecture reskinned, but if I install it alone, it will reskin both Mediterranean civs. Is that correct?

Well i can make it but it will change your .dat file.

for exemple : ethopians Archery range in castle age (ARRG3) take for standing graphics the ID 8665 , it's the same for malians as all africain faction.
8865 entity is using the SLP file 17129 which is the actuall skin file. (some are use multiple SLPs , like the forum)

All you have to do is create a new graphic entity , and bind the SLP file u want.
by doing this u change the dat file , which is one of core file of the game. (where u can change unit stats for exemple)

i'm pretty sure that's how IA was made , also IU , but a pretty long (very long) thing to do .
i think i'll change IA so i can have unique villager (but for my personal use huehuehue), but i don't have the courage/time to make a full IA/IU mod .

so u cant make multiple standalone mod , because u cant chose multiple dat file.
IA and IU made for each civ an unique graphic id and SLP for it , that why they are so usefull

Now make a stand alone version where you dont need an independent skin mod!
