For some reason I am only getting the cache version of it, not the vpk file itself. Might it be possible this is the problem?

Well this sucks, not your mod, but my DOI. for some reason it won't work. :/ Literally, I've tried it on official servers, I've tried it on modded, I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing. I've tried deleting some extra mod that might bother it. I've tried deleting the file itself and letting Steam redownload it, yet it won't work :/. I can send you my workshop mods and just for the extra possible help, even the files in custom folder itself. I really want this mod to work, I dislike inaccuracies in realistic games. For some reason it just won't work :/. PS: This isn't the only mod that isn't working for me, it's possible it's DOI itself that has problems in my PC.

There is no other way to do it except the following:

Copy "AccurateFactionFlagsVertical.vpk" from your Workshop folder

Workshop-Folder Location: ".../Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/447820/"

to

".../Steam/steamapps/common/dayofinfamy/doi/custom".

Thats it. Btw, this way works for all mods.

I know there is a lot of different versions that they use, but either way the one in your mod is pretty accurate, Im just saying that if you are looking to put the National flags, the accurate one is the off centered flag

I think it is negligible.

this mod is really good, but it can be more accurate, the german flag is kinda wrong. the accurate national german flag is off centered to the left. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Germany#/media/File:Flag_of_the_German_Reich_(1935%E2%80%931945).svg take look at the link and you will see, not many people know this. but it is the same deal as the accurate US flag (48 star flag)

You are right. It has 50 stars instead of 48. I will fix it soon. Thank you for noticing.

The US flag in this has only existed since 1960. It's not the one that was used during WWII.

That should work.

Make sure you play on servers that allows mods, also make sure you aint got subscribed to other mods which may interfere with the same gamefiles.
