There are multiple wears for each skin where the skin looks more worn with each wear. While not necessarily the same as your Flying Guillotine example, the concept is similar.

You know how some weapons have multiple looks (like the flying guillotine with it's thirsty version and it's thirstier version? and you can change and choose which style you want?
