Healing Bubble

For those wanting to try out the Healing Bubble and the Healing Rain mods, I ported them for the Definitive Edition. The can be found on the Nexus, here:
https://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsin2definitiveedition/mods/374

And, I've tested them to make sure they were indeed working.
So, anyone wishing to get their hands on this in the newer version can.

---

An explanation on how I got them ported can be with the help of this tutorial here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DivinityOriginalSin/comments/9c3tg7/comment/e59klx6/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

So anyone wanting to port old mods themselves, can.
From what I've come to learn, is there is little difference between the versions.

So please, if anyone is reading this that decide to spam mod pages with posts asking for ports.
Try the tutorial above, as it can open up an avenue for you to port Classic mods to the DE.

I would love this for GM and DE!
NuMaiky 7. dec. 2018 kl. 22:08
Can we get a DE version of this please
Bloodnut 31. aug. 2018 kl. 16:11
Does it hurt undead enemies, or ones with decay?
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. 2018 kl. 3:24
@High Summoner
Yes, this mod modifies the treasure tables for some shop keepers to make the book available. It's not compatible with any mod that does the same, which is a big part of why I stopped making skills. The only way to avoid it would be if I made a new shopkeeper just for this skill (not worth the effort). I'll add a warning to this mod though.
High Summoner 31. jan. 2018 kl. 23:31
Clashes with other mods that alter the inventory of the shopkeepers, such as Arcanist, for example.
hellbiter88 30. jan. 2018 kl. 20:09
i love this spell
Pontifex Maximus 25. jan. 2018 kl. 23:47
Could you make this a field effect? Like walking into the animation applies the restoration and wet?
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 10. dec. 2017 kl. 17:34
@Calbe
It does apply a wet surface in the area, so it probably does.
Calbe 10. dec. 2017 kl. 17:28
Haven't installed this yet, but does it make enemies "wet" even though it doesnt effect them otherwise
coatl 30. nov. 2017 kl. 9:48
I actually ran into the problem of two mods fighting for npc loot table recently after posting my initial reply x.x. The only thing I can think of is adding NPCs/crates with the modded skills/
coatl 29. nov. 2017 kl. 3:19
Hm you could always add the skill to a treasure chest? I have multiple skill mpds and never had an issue with conflicts causing npcs to not have the modded skillbooks. Well except with healing bubble.
Ebi 18. nov. 2017 kl. 22:12
Oh, I didn't know there was one already. My bad.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2017 kl. 17:48
@Ghost
I started to until I seen there was a blood bubble skill already. I'm not sure what that does. I'm not familiar with all the skills yet.

I think I'm going to stop making skills for now, unless I find a way to keep them from conflicting, or until I can pack a bunch together. The reason for that is because I have to override treasure tables to add the books to the existing shops. Right now each separate skill mod is going to override the shop inventory and cause the books to not show up (unless I was to make my own shop keeper in each area for my skills alone).
Ebi 18. nov. 2017 kl. 15:48
@SimranZenov
Do you think you could do the same thing as the original healing bubble, but have a necromancy version?
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. 2017 kl. 14:29
@Azor Ahai
I found a way to remove the undead talent which will allow you to heal the undead. Here you go:

Foxon 15. nov. 2017 kl. 19:24
This is really cool but... my third play through is Lone Wolf with Fane. FUUUUUU- I want to use your thing but can't!

Great job, though.
Ebi 14. nov. 2017 kl. 12:51
Blood... bubble? Nercomancy? You can take this idea if you wish for Undead healing. :) :dos2skull:
thelich 14. nov. 2017 kl. 5:38
You can go even further - buble gives all allies 100+ pison resistance and do poison damage for a duration, so all allies will be healed by poison, while any anemies in area of effect will get poison damage.
thelich 14. nov. 2017 kl. 4:01
@Azor Ahai
It would be better, not to give an undead status (if it really possible), but boost to poison resistance, such it would be over 100. Then everybody will be healing from poison, like undead.
OSMOSIS WOLF 13. nov. 2017 kl. 20:32
Thanks bro, looking forward to it.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2017 kl. 20:11
@Azor Ahai
I'll see if I can come up with something.
OSMOSIS WOLF 13. nov. 2017 kl. 18:31
Can you come up with something for undead, it's been a pain in the ass to figure out an efficiant way to heal Fane without damaging the rest of my party, maybe a bubble that make everyone have undead status, so I can use poison AOE spell to heal Fane and kill ennemis without friendly fire.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2017 kl. 1:05
@Jexa
Glad you like it :)
It was pretty fun to make

Gave this a try. Simply amazing. I implore you, make more spells, because just this one spell sold me on your great attention to detail. Keep it up!
Verrik 11. nov. 2017 kl. 14:21
Ooo this looks sexy AF!!
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 11:51
I already worked with the engine to make my own value changes to make the difficulty higher and some damage values of op mod skills lower, but nothing more.
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 11:29
A tutorial would be great indeed.

A large dark hole like pull all together or group teleporting spell to manage large groups of enemies is missing in this game and would be a great addition.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 11:26
@Winter Phoenix
I was thinking about creating a package of various spells at some point, but I'm working on something else right now. If you have an idea for a spell/skill I might be able to create it for you though, or maybe I could toss together a tutorial to show you how to make one yourself (it's not too difficult once you learn how)
Say 11. nov. 2017 kl. 10:38
Love it. Any plans to release more healing spells?
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 10:18
@Rail
Awesome! Glad it worked :)
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 9:58
okay forget that, it's in the shop I just browsed it too fast.
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 9:57
so the game finally loaded up xD searched through all barrels and crates arround and in her shop, the book isn't there, whats sad, cuz you invested some time to execute it.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 8:47
@Rail
I went ahead and added the book on a barrel behind Bree. Once you go to another map the vendors should repopulate their lists (hopefully).
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 8:14
give me some hours to load my game for lol
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 8:08
@Rail
Let me know if it appears plz. I have a feeling it may not appear unless you start a new game or reload the map somehow (they dont seem to load up with previous saves - I think because all vendors are loaded with their inventory when you first load the map). If that's the case I'll just drop one next to Bree
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 8:00
thank you :D
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 7:48
@Rail
Found her. I loaded up the level and found her technical name: RC_DW_Trader_PotionsIngredientsWaterSummonNecro
I've added the book :)
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 7:23
same here, loading act 2 for about 1 hour lol it's horrible optimized, will check it after my next restart, thank you for your effort!
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 7:19
@Rail
I guess DW (driftwood) is in reapers coast, and according to wiki Bree is in driftwood, so I may have added it already (DW_Healer may be Bree). Can you reload and check when you get a chance? I'll keep adding to other vendors. I'm also waiting for the engine to load reapers coast (my computer is dying trying to load it). If I can't find the vendor then I'll just set the book next to Bree somewhere (if it ever loads...)
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 6:59
Might be RC? Reapers Coast I guess.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 6:56
I added 1 to a vendor called "DW_Healer" (DW would be the location). Do you know what map Bree might be located? They are abbreviated. I'm not sure which one to look for. Here is the list:
FTJ (fort joy), DW, ARX, RC, COS
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 6:49
Oh alright, that explains it, thank you for your quick reaction. The Hydro trader in act 2 is Bree she's on the marketplace of the maintown.
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2017 kl. 6:46
@Rail
I only added to Fort Joy vendors since they all used the same treasure table. After that it seems to go into each trader by name. If you can give me the vendor/trader name and location I can probably add it to them.
Rail 11. nov. 2017 kl. 5:32
I'm on act2 and can't find this book in the inventories of vendors, could it be crafted?
SimranZenov  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. 2017 kl. 17:58
@jaeger972
Most likely hurts the undead. It uses 'regenerate' - the same as restoration.
jaeger972 10. nov. 2017 kl. 12:34
does it effect friendly undead?
Crankganker 10. nov. 2017 kl. 11:06
Cool mod. Complements my custom skills nicely. Thanks
Nomi 9. nov. 2017 kl. 20:39
