Oh, LOL, I just realized you were referring to charlatans and not the Scribblenauts workshop.

Yes, carnival games are often run by charlatans.

Maybe, but if they had a couple thousand types of bottles to choose from and they could arrange them in the shape of Cthulu.

The workshop is a feature of Scribblenauts itself, and it's more of a drag-and-drop image editor than anything else. You paste premade body parts (from any other object in the game) and use them to replace body parts from an existing creature. There is another tool in which you can set behaviors using menus, such as "When this creature interacts with _____, it will display ______ emotion."

Also, a charlatan is a conman/swindler/snake oil salesman.

She's perceived as a "charlatan" by other objects, so objects that would react negatively to charlatans will react the same way to Trixie.

She uses magic items, so she will automatically put on a wizard's hat. The game's capes are made to fit humanoids, so they don't really look good on ponies. :/

Making an item in the workshop is pretty easy once you get a feel for all the tools you can use. Just be creative with the pieces you use, and test out the "behaviors" you give your item. Once I had already made a pony, modifying one into making Trixie only took about 20 minutes.

It is both those things! Don't ride it near law enforcement, though, they don't approve of her antics.
