Does this mod not work? I installed it and it is checked when I hit manage mods on the launcher screen but the avatar project still popped up on a new save. Or is there something else I need to do to make it work?

-maxfacilities in the code is basicelly the vanilla numbers.
+maxfacilities is the new numbers.

Basicelly how it works is
- Removes the old numbers / amount of facilities
+ Adds the new numbers / amounts of facilities that spawn

Essentially you wanna change the numbers for "+maxfacilities"

Trying to edit the ini file so I can still do the Avatar Black Site missions and encounter the Rulers. The author said: "Editing the .ini file for the mod, wherever it is, should work; there's a line in there that sets the default number of facilities to 0 instead of the normal number of 5 or whatever." Does anyone know what line exactly this would be? I'm having trouble finding it. There are several lines for "facility starting doom" and "max facilities." Divided even further into 2 categories of positive and negatives (ex: -maxfacilities, +maxfacilities)

My game keeps crashing during the mission; operation knife chalice ( the mission to rescue mox ) does this mod have something to do with that maybe?

Yes; this mod doesn't stop the story missions from spawning, or mess with any of the other necessary objectives.

Hi there, I like to play while the facilities are present on the map and don't mind Bratford nagging, so the question is how can I get the avatar facilities still spawn again? And if is possible to do it on current playthrough? Tnx in advance.

Yes, you can. You just will never see the Alien Rulers from that DLC.

Oh, I think I know what you mean.

What stops you fighting the Rulers with Integrated DLC on is because that mode ties each of them to an Alien Facility; this mod sets the limit of active Facilities to zero, so they can't spawn, so you can never assault them to set the Ruler free to interfere in your other missions.

Integrated DLC gets rid of the Nest and Shen's Last Gift missions; if you tick it, you can build SPARKs and the Hunter weapons from day 1, but it moves Rulers to Alien Facilities. Destroy (Or just attack?) a Facility and they start spawning in normal missions.

This mod caps Facilities at 0 max, so the Rulers won't spawn at all without disabling Integrated DLC.

Does indeed work mid-campaign, though it leaves the Avatar bar at the top of the map and makes it look a little off. Not a big deal and no issues with it. For people not getting it to work, make sure you're using AML - it should be listed as a requirement on mods at this point, as the 2k launcher hasn't worked for mods in years.

This does indeed work for me, however keep in mind that if you run into a Dark Event that adds to the Doom Counter, it will soft lock your game because obviously the Doom Counter is gone now. Unfortunately disabling the mod just for this instance doesn't fix it, so keep an eye out on any Doom Counter events that you MUST stop.

The default launcher for XCOM 2 does not activate this mod, people who play XCOM on Steam should use the Alternative Mod Launcher i believe too properly enable all the mods they wanna use.

Yeah, this isn't for Long War. And Darth, there's an option called Integrated DLC or something like that when you start the game; I can't remember what it does, other than it ties each of the Rulers to an Alien Facility, and after you destroy (or attack?) that Facility, they're released out into the wild.

Since the Facilities don't spawn with this mod, the Rulers don't either, unless you untick Integrated DLC.

I like fighting the Chosen, the zombies got a bit annoying tho bc you have to watch them growl like every single round.

I believe the new launcher does indeed mess with it, if you are on Steam i think your best bet is too use the Alternative Mod Launcher i think it's called. As some mods just arent enabled properly with the one that comes with the game.

As for getting it working, you didn't need to do anything special using the old launcher; I don't know if the new launcher messes with anything.

Do you have to start a new game for this to work, and is there anything special I need to do to make it to work? (edit files, enable mods anything like that?) I'm about 3 hours into a new campaign and it's just getting ridiculously hard. I just want to enjoy the story.

Thanks for this, I was tired of the Avatar project from the very first play thru. I hate it when they try to PUSH you in games.
