The maps are not darkened, it's more like an blue-ish washing over ALL the colors. This means that molotov fire or sparks from shoot impacts on metal are also blue-ish...

Make sure you don't have any custom skyboxes or lighting, it doesn't work well with the addon. Also, try turning down brightness, although I tested all maps on max and lowest and had no problems. Ill work on fixing your problem though!
