to get the background you need to use GCFScape.
Open the .vpk --- Go to the "media" folder --- Extract those sumbiches --- Put those files and replace the older ones on your media folder on common/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/media

So how do you get the font workin'? It looks thin.etc, but it doesn't look like the font in the images.
