lore-wise the hover ball should be able to float over water and floor hazards as well, which would be nice to see in a potential future update, as well as bouncing higher when you jump repeatedly, and a toggle option, as other people have said
(note: the only reason the levitation ball can't float over water in psychonauts is because raz is afraid of water, a detail milla specifically points out as being unique to him, so since hat kid has no such fear, she should be able to float on water with it with no issues)

I also agree that the toggle on and off could be useful for more interesting platforming.

Can you update the mod, so the ball behaves like the ropes in the game? so each time hat kid bounces over it, the jump can reach a higher altitude. That would also make it closer to the original psy-ball.

I've been having game crashes after installing this mod. Any chance you could update this?

Its great. One thing missing. MAKE. IT. A. TOGGLE. if not it will suddenly disappear over and over again because your finger gets tired.

If you wanted to, you could make the jumping floatier, like it is in psychonauts. Code for that exists since it's used in the astronaut hat. And what people in the comments don't get is that the autoequipping bug is not unique to this hat and is baked into the game.

there's a bug where if u go through the Snatcher's Realm Portal (mod) it makes hat kid go inside the ball (only happens when active as u go through the portal) and if it's not active, hat kid will be underground (here's a link to the mod i mentioned https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1761047952&searchtext=snatcher )

The balancing animation, jumping animation, jumping onto the ball animations are all awesome, but I don't understand why the author didn't go all the way and add in animation for getting off the ball. It looks so odd Hat Kid instantly teleport onto the ground.

Mmmm. This hat really needs to cancel fall damage and landing animations. I keep getting knocked off my ball just by falling a little too far and hurting my ugly little BUTT. :(

Disabling this mod doesnt actually disable the hat.

Actually, Hat Kid is totally at risk of being dragged underwater and drowned by some magic gypsy curse. The only difference is that the curse is on the swamp in Subcon Forest instead of on her family.

You should add some kind of cooldown or animation when activating and deactivating the ability. Having it pop in and out instantly is a bit odd.

I must admit, this is a good alternative to the Sprint Hat, but having played Psychonauts, I wished this hat would had made Hat Kid's jumps more floaty, like maybe like she's on the moon.

Pros:
+Very nice design
+Fun to use on slopes

Cons:
-Doesn't increase your jump height
-You can lose the ball very easily

Nitpicks:
-No animation for making a ball
-You can't float

Overall:
This is really just a Psychonauts themed sprint hat. It's pretty decent, but I feel it could be better.

When I saw the hat, it was like all of my memories from Psychonauts get back to me. But when I launch the game, I was like: Hey!? Where is my Ultra ball from Psychonauts why it is just normal jump. I was disappointed. Ok I can stand it, but my main problems are why it haven't got any animation when we creating ball. One frame jump on ball is very ugly. After we get on ball it is very easy to lost it while using it. I thing this mod bringing back memories to very good game, but it's need more polish.

If you have subbed to the beta, this hat is found by scrolling though your hats or in the hat dial. It doesn't seem to appear in your inventory. The other is a badge.

I think the only problem I have with this mod is that the icon for the hat is a picture of the 3D model instead of a custom drawn icon like the other hats, which really contrasts with the other hats and doesn't look good, and I hoped to expect a custom icon from an offical mod, but other than that nitpick it's a great lil mobile ability as a sort of alternative to the Sprint Cap!

If you don't see the mod it's because you aren't in the beta branch, mods are in test at the moment.

It's not appearing. I tried unsubbing and subbing again, but to no avail. Same deal with the Freedom Planet one.
