4k textures? In a tacitcal/strategy game? I like to enjoy as much FPS as I get, seeing as I'm using 200+ mods. I'll stick to the vanilla Viper Gear, thanks.

Have to agree with E3245 here, if you use an overly large texture you'll eat up my GPU memory even if it's mip-mapped. You'll get frame stuttering as the kernel evicts and pages in stuff each frame.

I disable every version of the torso except the one with the XCOM insignia anyway.

Looks like this model needs some of that magic weighted vertex normals to make the edges look harder.

Also, I'd avoid using 4k textures (because they really don't do that much and they bloat up the mod size). 2k is the max for me.
