Quest items may say they have weight, but DON'T. They never have weight so stop. Try dropping everything when you have a questt item and you will see that you will have 0 carry weight.

Krawtch and Kilakro are correct. Regardless of what it says, quest items do not affect your carry weight at all.

It shows the weight, but if you check your weight before and after picking it up you'll notice that the weight on quest items doesn't affect you.

krawtch, there are quest items that have weight. lots of them do. but there's a mod that makes it otherwise.

Or how about a mod that allows you to drop the instruments that ALSO fixes the quests in which they are involved? Just a friendly suggestion...
