I downloaded [WOTC] Gotcha Again Redux and removed Gotcha Again, Peek from Concealment, and this mod and it works fine now.
Phoenix 24. nov. 2023 kl. 5:03
I added a semicolon to comment out the line in Gotcha Again's XComEngine.ini, but on AML it shows that this mod and Gotcha Again still conflict with each other.

A quick note for people also using Crouch Lower: Going by what that mod's author has said, it incorporates a variant of these fixes. Don't use both mods together!

(I was getting the occasional unexpected reveal, did some digging and found out about that... wonder if a conflict was the cause?)

Thanks for making this, absolute lifesaver for the years I used it!

Prophet of Madness do you even read

Does the vanilla version require this fix too?

I don't know if there was such a comment, but there is a conflict.

@Morgan_Yu And how would that have possibly happened? Gotcha Again hasn't been updated since 2017, while this mod was updated in 2019.
Nightcall 24. okt. 2022 kl. 8:07
For those who have performance problem, try resubscribe the mod. My game was brought down to 5 fps in geoscape, but after resubscribe the mod and remove files in \Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config, the performance return to noraml.

@Terrance The T-Rex
Do you mean that AML reports a conflict or that the mod's not working? Try a Skirmish match, assuming you've got TLP, to see if it works.
TeRa 21. apr. 2022 kl. 16:23
I added the ; to the line stated in the description but I still get a conflict :/

yes it does work for lwtoc
2003kd 4. mar. 2022 kl. 3:26
Does this mod work for LWOTC?
Morgan_Yu 29. jan. 2022 kl. 0:37
Looks like an update to Gotcha Again broke this mod, unfortunately.

Did the civilian see you through a half cover on the same level?
Sauron Baggins 18. dec. 2021 kl. 16:18
I had a soldier make a 2 move dash from ground level up the side of the building, to the roof. The base of the ladder was next to a window. He was not detected.

I had another soldier take the same exact path, but stop at the base of the ladder instead. I wanted to use the 2nd move to overwatch. But i was detected by civilians inside the building and lost concealment.

Is this a bug?

Fix your mods. You've got a conflict. Google how to troubleshoot mod conflicts for xcom
Korpys 30. juli 2021 kl. 9:51
When using the mod, the performance in the game dies.
Bunbun 27. maj 2021 kl. 12:42
Whenever I use this mod along with the troubleshooting tip it lags the geo screen, possibly by causing conflict with the base mod PFC. Turning this mod off solved that problem but the UI problem is still there.
Agrippa HX 11. feb. 2021 kl. 23:13
It's almost like Haerzog didn't read the mod description or even the first several comments.
Haerzog 11. feb. 2021 kl. 21:26
For some reason, in the Alternative Mod launcher, it says that this mod conflicts with Gotcha Again. Even though it knows that Gotcha is a dependency.
Sauron Baggins 5. maj 2020 kl. 22:46
@Agrippa HX
OK, I thought it was refering to the last option for the civ in his config ini. I have not used this mod before.

Agrippa HX 5. maj 2020 kl. 21:33
@Sauron Baggins & @Mr. Nice — That's not right. The civilian bug was that it didn't show you would be revealed by moving through civilian detection zones.
Sauron Baggins 5. maj 2020 kl. 16:27
@Mr. Nice
I believe when the enemy detection range was boosted by 1 or how many squares to compensate, the civilian detection range was boosted by the same amount too. Now it doesn't.

@Maya
Yes, read the Description.

@Latis, The config files are where-ever you installed the game (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) or some other location (eg. D:\SteamLibrary)
in: \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1136981000\Config
Where:
268500 is the steam ID for XCOM2
1136981000 is the workshop ID for this mod

I found these IDs by opening Steam's pages for both the game and this mod in a web browser instead of through Steam's platform and looking at the URL.

As mentioned by The Spokesman, you can get the Alternative Mod Launcher (AML) here:
https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher
The downloads are under "releases".

Happy Modding!
Mr. Nice 26. jan. 2020 kl. 13:34
What was "the civilian bug"?
Agrippa HX 10. jan. 2020 kl. 15:11
As stated in the description above, "Note: The mod launcher may specify that this mod conflicts with Gotcha Again, ignore it, it should work anyway." It has always shown a conflict for me, but works just fine.
FAT WANZER 10. jan. 2020 kl. 5:31
NVM irestarted AML and it didn't show conflict anymore
FAT WANZER 10. jan. 2020 kl. 5:31
i have tried the troubleshooting but the AML still shown conflict help?
Punful Guy 29. dec. 2019 kl. 16:42
Thanks for the civilian bug fix!
Alexandr 26. dec. 2019 kl. 23:11
Holy shit, thanks for the update! It's working well for me thus far!
e☆zy t@rget 9. dec. 2019 kl. 13:37
Great mod which corrects a vanilla flaw, will the civilians issue be solved in the future?
Effortless Progress 7. nov. 2019 kl. 6:16
You can edit in the alternative mod launcher
Latis 9. juli 2019 kl. 0:32
Hi. Where i can find the Gotcha Again's XComEngine.in?i In cofig doesn't show
Agrippa HX 14. maj 2019 kl. 2:52
@TREXMIST —

"Known Issues

"Doesn't account for civilians properly at the moment. So don't run right next to any civs just because the indicator says it's fine."

— from the description
Sergeant Stutters 13. maj 2019 kl. 14:06
Sometimes I get cases where I am not warned about enemy civilians. I'll be looking from the other end of a building and tell my soldiers to move across the opposite end I cannot see, and there just so happens to be a civilian there that I didn't see nor did the game warn me about. I have no idea if it's to do with this mod or some other
Agrippa HX 6. feb. 2019 kl. 3:13
@Orionox — The mod doesn't change which tiles have the (flat) warning markers on them. It just changes whether the reveal flag is shown to follow Peak from Concealment's modified reveal rules. I recommend you read all the notes for the Peak from Concealment mod itself as it explains there how reveal is works differently with that mod.
Orionox 6. feb. 2019 kl. 1:59
Has this broken? I'm noticing that some red spaces aren't revealing me when I come up to corners, but they're still marked red.
Agrippa HX 3. jan. 2019 kl. 12:57
@Munt — Check the route carefully. You won't receive a proper warning prior to your move if you would be detected by civilians. The reveal flag will not appear for them. I'd suggest understanding the modified rules used by Peak and then confirm it isn't because you're running through too many squares seen by a civilian.

Also, obviously, the mod will not warn you about a reveal if the enemy who spots you is not seen at the beginning of your move.
SumFella41Fella 3. jan. 2019 kl. 7:50
When I move to a place that's not marked red on the UI the enemy spot me. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Agrippa HX 28. dec. 2018 kl. 16:24
@KT — It isn't a problem in this case. You can safely ignore the supposed conflict.
KT Chong 28. dec. 2018 kl. 5:06
For some reason, the XCOM 2 Mod Launcher shows that this mod and Gotcha Again have conflicts, (even though this mod requires Gotcha Again.) I have about 80 mods running together, and these two are the only two showing conflicts.
Agrippa HX 1. okt. 2018 kl. 17:11
@Saint — Did you read the description before posting your comment?

"Note: The mod launcher may specify that this mod conflicts with Gotcha Again, ignore it, it should work anyway."

Conflict with Gotcha Again is XComPathingPawn. I have it as well.
