Update: Apparently the weight limit doesn't matter. It shows 2,800 but still moves fine with 5k plus weight

Update: For some reason the small and large motorboats both have 33k health and 2,800 storage for me. The engrams and items in inventory are different but they are the same item on placing. Updating the config to modify the cargo capacity and speed doesn't seem to work. I've updated it for the small and large motorboat. I really just need more capacity.

nvm fixed it, you just have to put 6 zeros in the decimal place for it to work

Does anyone know how I can configure it to allow me to place any structure, and avoid getting the message that this structure cannot be placed on a platform?

I have encountered a problem with the ship chimney and ship vent. When I try to place them, they are invisible, and don't seem to actually place. Nothing shows up, and I can't pick them up afterward, and I certainly can't access them.

It's a Vanilla configuration rather than anything with the mod.

Advanced Motorboats works fine for me. What annoys the hell out of me is the problem of building on the Advanced Motorboat (Large). I'm using a pillar with a ladder to place the boat, then place a Vanilla Tech Foundation Fence so it doesn't look so crappy. I *wish* I could just use the S+ "Motorboat Platform/Snappy Saddle" that would attach and let me go on about my business. I'd use the Vanilla motorboat, but then I loose the 3POV "high overhead" view Advanced Motorboats gives me.

My end goal is to place an S+ glass platform one wedge at a time. If I were comfortable, I'd simply make a "Snappy Motorboat Saddle/ Platform" that would snap to the Advanced Motorboat, but otherwise would be a full Glass Platform, at least without the "dangly bits" underneath.

For now, though... I'll just try to jigger things around to make what I want within the game.

I wasn't able to build with larger Radius with this mod on a private server do anyone know how to fix it ? I have tried change the GAMEUSERSETTINGS.INI

It's June 2022 and this mod still works. On a private server you MUST add this in the GAMEUSERSETTINGS.INI (preferably after server settings and before Message of The Day settings) after installing the mod or the mod WILL NOT WORK

Something deffo broke with the Genesis 2 update! Unable to build anything bigger than 10x10.

does this mod work with structures plus?

It appears the raft build distance has been ruined as of the Genesis 2 update. I can only build 10 foundations away instead of 25 as I used to be able to with the large motorboat.

My apologies, it was structures+ crashing, too hasty in my testing.

Newest game update causes this to no longer run. Enable one mod at a time after total core of game crashing to desktop (engine, shader, and a page long of other errors).

the advanced large motorboat dose not work. if you craft it, its the advanced motor boat (not the large)..
if you spawn in the advanced motor boat large (inventory its large) once placed in water it becomes just advanced Motorboat. i hope this mod get updated.

Does this Mod works? There are no differences between the vanilla motoboat and the large motoboat. We increased the weight, but the settings are not applied. Can you help me?

Works like a charm. Made a 5 floor ENORMOUS boat. This modder is a god! Just gotta know to push the foundation downwards.

MacGyver, can you please make a setting to an adv. dingy to be able to build 70-80 structures, or to make a metal dingy with the same design as wooden one to be able to build more structures?

When not in use, I would love the motorboat not to be stored in a storage box, but to be placed on the beach or the deck of my raft. Is that possible?

I can't build 2 to 3 foundation further away from the boats "Requires nearby foundation support" even with the thatch ceiling trick. Have I messed up any config?? How to fix it ?

i added this mod just like the others i use on my server ( i have the advance raft mod ) but i can not seem to get this mod to load does anyone have any suggestions

This mod is still working! I just added it to my ark servers. To extend the foundations out you have to do the following.

How To Extending Raft Foundations:

Step 1
Place as many normal foundations as you can to cover the surface of the raft.

Step 2
Place a REGULAR THATCH CEILING in the direction you would like to extend your foundations.

Step 3
Place your foundation under the thatch ceiling, it will now snap to your other foundations where it wouldn't before.

Step 4
Remove the thatch ceiling.

Step 5
Repeat for as far as you would like to extend the raft up to the build radius.

NOTE: This method works completely fine with vanilla structures, there is no guarantee this will work with modded structures

im trying to build a really big boat... but i cant extend it it out past 2 ceilings ? can anyone help as i cant attach pillars to the sea floor ?? how do u make the boats really big ??

set a wood fence foundation parallel to the driving position centered with the boat. place another fence foundation perpendicular in an L shape. use a vanilla wood pillar and snap it to the perpendicular section. Now snap a foundation to the bottom of the pillar. it will be just below the surface of the raft. (sunk foundation) remove the two fence foundations and the pillar.use VANILLA foundations and Vanilla thatch roofs to extend the raft out to the desired distance. Once that is done the vanilla foundations can be replaced with any foundations from your favorite mod.

or u can use the piller plus mod to place roofs without foundation bugs/glithes needed, just place em under the roof and it'll expand building radius to foundation level, you can literally make airplane carriers

I'm going to disagree with Nightshift and encourage S+ for boats in dedicated servers. S+ has a setting for extending non-supported pieces and it makes it possible to make those extra large rafts we built before. One of my friends did a vid of me building one, recently, on our server. You can also use s+ wooden ceilings and place foundations under, then remove the ceiling... and s+ has the pickup gun, which is great for foundation sinking.

Any chance of you doing an all in one "Advanced Sea Craft" mod or something? Combining this plus Advanced Rafts....

Yeah did something in Ark change to stop this mod from working because even with [AdvMotorboatSettings]
MotorboatModifiers=True set all rafts cannot extend 5 foundations past the raft...

I used to be able to build large rafts previously, but as of Oct 1 I can only build a 7x7 foundation raft. Anyone else having this issue? I'm using vanilla pieces to sink foundations, then using s+ foundtations to build out. That used to work fine in the past. Any suggestions?

Place a thatch ceiling first. (ofcourse after you have the first main foundations covering raft placed) Then under that thatch ceiling put a foundation. Rinse repeat. Dont use S+ its wonky. It works with all foundation types. Also make sure your raft is in a bit of deep water, even if the new foundation might not clip into any ground, its still causes issues.

Where can I find instructions for this? I have watched a video where someone put down a foundation then a ceiling then a foundation under the ceiling (wash rinse repeat) Is this the only way? Does this only work with thatch ceilings and metal foundations? I have tried multiple combinations and always get a message that can not place foundation obstructed. And yes I have tried with both S+ and vanilla.

@Louisifier are you using the method with the thatch ceilings? There is a link just about on how to do it.
If you are, Are you using S+? I believe there are issues with using S+ to build out on rafts.
