As Knusperfrosch said, this is a unique effect most certainly, however the colors are far too bright and need more contrast ESPECIALLY that pink one. These are blindingly bright.

After watching the video, still not sure how to feel about this.
On the PRO side, at least it's something new and not just another cloud with skulls or a repainted existing effect.
On the CON side, it's a huge blob of insanely bright colours, and the details (swirls) aren't really visible from the middle distance. I like the swirls effect, though, but it needs more contrast.

The deep yellow one has a nice colour, the green is intensely bright IMO, and the pink one could need a little more blue-purple because it looks like a flower at first glance. I'm sure people who love pink Unusuals will love it, but the Halloween colours have always been green, violet and yellow/orange.

That's more like smoke, not a giant hexagonal plaque. But does valve ask people to make tiny changes before implementing an unusual effect or do they ignore ones that have slight imperfections in their eyes?

This will never get added to the game unless it becomes slightly transparent. It blocks a large portion of the enemy's view.
