As you can see, it's 10 units long, which allows the bus to coast into the stop. The traffic can drive by it smoothly.

I don't have problems with that in most cases. You can also upgrade the segment of the road to a bus lane to resolve that problem.
Since I spend most of the game looking down from high above it makes identifying easier…
