@Tomatekh

I'm afraid the Eastern Orthodox Church has to be divided into two denominations, particularly the Eastern and Russian, for now. A new mod for the Orthodox Church denominations, entitled Orthodox Denominations (Historical Religions), needs to be created.

Reason: 2018 Moscow-Constantinople schism, as happened last 15 October 2018

Preferred religions:

Byzantine Empire, Ethiopia, Greece: Eastern Orthodox
Russia: Russian Orthodox

Thank you

Wow thanks! Didnt try that mod yet.

I might be able to made a baby companion mod and add it myself in the mean time. I know enough about modding to tweak

@Baleur

JFD's Piety and Prestiege mod actually adds sound files for all the religions:

It's something I can look into adding in the future. (I'm just too busy at the moment to do an update).
Metalbane 8. jan. 2015 kl. 18:16
Yeah, he added adjectives to all the base game religions. The mod dynamically names civs, so you can have stuff like "the Catholic Republic of Rome" and shit like that. I was hoping you were familiar with it and added support, but oh well. Thanks for the response, anyways
Tomatekh  [ophavsmand] 8. jan. 2015 kl. 15:19
I'm not completely familiar with that mod. However, the offical files don't include/use adjective forms for any religion so I similarly didn't think to include them. If the author of the Civ Names by Policy added the adjectives for the official religions himself, then it’s likely any mod religion would be missing the appropriate text (unless he specifically coded a way for his mod to handle instances where a religion is missing an adjective).
Metalbane 8. jan. 2015 kl. 14:50
Sorry, not Civ Names by Era, Civ Names by Policy. Stupid similarly named mods...
Metalbane 8. jan. 2015 kl. 14:40
Do these work with the Civ Names by Era mod? Like do they have adjectives for the religions saved?
Baleur 16. dec. 2014 kl. 0:26
That said, is there a way to lift said religion sounds from Civ4 and possibly simply use those?
Might cut down on the modding work required, except for the scripting ofc.
Baleur 16. dec. 2014 kl. 0:26
Thats true, unfortunately. It is one of the last features from Civ4 i really miss though. Kind of gave each religion a bit more flavor. That unique sound whenever it spread to a new city.

Perhaps it could be shared along similar "culture types" of religions.
For example, the native american religions could all share one sound, the Christian / Catholic variations could share one sound, etc.

Could probably get away with 6 or so sounds.
Mesoamerican
Asian
Indian
Middle-eastern
European
Pagan
Tomatekh  [ophavsmand] 15. dec. 2014 kl. 21:47
The idea has come up before, but at this point I've added too many religions that I'm not really up to the task of going back and adding unique stuff like sounds for each one.
Baleur 15. dec. 2014 kl. 21:02
Ever thought of adding a unique found / reform sound event for all the different religions?
Got that tought after the weirdness i posted in your civ collection page :)
John Wheatstreet 6. dec. 2014 kl. 12:56
Thank you very much. I'll wait ;)
Tomatekh  [ophavsmand] 6. dec. 2014 kl. 6:51
I will be going back and adding more Abrahamic denominations to the mod in the future, of which, I’ll try and include Messianism. I want to add some more Andean and Mesoamerican religions first, though, as that area is largely unrepresented at the moment and the mod already includes a large number of Abrahamic religions compared to other cultures. Currently, I’m working on finishing some new civilization mods and will return to modding the religions once my new civs are out.
John Wheatstreet 6. dec. 2014 kl. 1:25
Dear Tomathekh, would you be so kind to include a 'menora' (a Hebrew candlestick with 7 branches) for Messianism? This is a faith that is spreading over the world as we speak. They are Jews and Christians who believe in Yeshua and do all of the Word of God, not some of it as most Christians do. And they do not add to or subtract from it, as most Jews do.

Looking forward to your reply. Shalom, Jelven
DrakenX999 7. sep. 2014 kl. 14:46
Judaism is already included in the base game.
benjamin6green 7. sep. 2014 kl. 14:43
hey what about Judiasm
Robo-Pig 5. sep. 2014 kl. 9:20
K, thanks!
Tomatekh  [ophavsmand] 3. sep. 2014 kl. 16:57
The main mod has about 16 native religions for North, Central, and South America as well as one for Polynesia. My next three packs will actually be focused on splitting these up further (particularly for Central America and Polynesia).
Robo-Pig 3. sep. 2014 kl. 15:50
Sweet. Wonder if you'll do Polynesian or Native American religions next. It's wierd when Polynesia is Catholic.
Byzantine Bomb 29. juli 2014 kl. 14:27

Updates across the board.
Tomatekh  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2013 kl. 22:50
Sorry I haven't updated for a while. I've mostly been busy with school, and in my free time I've been udating my civ mods. However, now that that's mostly done I will be working on/releasing an update for my religion mods in the near future.
