Haven't tried it yet but exactly what I was hoping for! I felt like the trails were a bit too long and cartoony. I wanted it to feel more like tracer bullets (I know, still not realistic).

Sorry, it turns out it was another mod. I swore I unchecked this one when I tested for it, but it turns out I'm just stupid.

That's wierd, I did not touch any sound or anything else and do not have this issue. Take a look with Shogun II Pack File Manager :P
