🚀 VSM Core v2.0 - Major Update

🎉 Welcome to Version 2.0!

We're excited to introduce the biggest update to Virtual Storage Module yet! This version brings revolutionary improvements in performance, security, and functionality.




✨ What's New?

🔥 VPower Virtualization Engine
We've implemented the brand new VPower virtualization mechanism, delivering:
  • Much faster performance - significantly improved processing speeds
  • 🛡️ Enhanced security - more robust data protection
  • 📁 Reduced file overhead - only 3-4 files per storage/folder
  • 💾 Automatic backup system - built-in data protection
  • 🗑️ Replaces legacy EX-1 engine - modernized codebase

  • 🔄 Core-independent updates and modifications
  • 🛠️ Better administration control for server owners

⚠️ Important Information & Recommendations

🔄 Automatic Migration Process
The VSM will automatically migrate all servers using EX-1 to VPower.

⏱️ First startup may take several minutes - this is completely normal as most storages will be migrated during this process.

📂 After migration, you may still see old files in the virtual\storage_1 folder, as some storages will only migrate when players first open them.

⚠️ During this process, VSM may report alerts and errors in the script log - this is normal as EX-1 had some deficiencies that will be revealed during migration.

💾 Backup Compatibility
  • EX-1 backups are fully compatible with VPower
  • ❌ VPower backups cannot be restored to EX-1




⚙️ New Configuration Options

After migration completion, new settings will be available in:
profile -> iTzMods -> VSM -> Settings.json

🎛️ Performance Tuning
VSM will automatically adjust these values for optimal virtualization performance:

  • m_BatchSize: Number of items processed per batch
  • m_BatchInterval: Interval in milliseconds between item batches

💡 Pro Tip: You can adjust these to lower values if your server has limited RAM/CPU or if you experience slowdowns.




🔬 How Migration Works

VSM features a sophisticated versioning system:
  • 📋 Every virtualized storage is tagged with a version number
  • 🔍 VSM recognizes versions and selects the correct mechanism to read files
  • 🔄 Automatic conversion to the newest format
  • ⬅️ Full backward compatibility - always recognizes and converts old versions

[FIX] Ao deslogar com um armazenamento na mão, os itens somem ao relogar.
[AJUSTE] Melhorado inicialização do módulo
[FIX] Corrigido conflito de classes ja definidas por outros mods
[NOVO] Configurações agora estão na pasta profiles. Devido à dificuldade dos admins de configurar o cfgGameplay, estou passando as configurações para a pasta profiles, verifique: profiles/iTzMods/VSM
[FIX] O módulo retornava true para VSM_HasItems mesmo quando os itens não eram virtualizados
[FIX] Quando um container era salvo com itens ignorados dentro dele, os itens de dentro dele sumiam ao restaurar (ex: barril com uma panela com carne dentro, as carnes da panela sumiam assim que o barril virtualizava ela...)

[ADJUSTMENT] Improved module initialization.
[FIX] Fixed class conflict caused by other mods defining the same classes.
[NEW] Configurations are now located in the profiles folder. Due to difficulties admins had setting up cfgGameplay, settings were moved to profiles/iTzMods/VSM.
[FIX] The module returned true for VSM_HasItems even when items were not virtualized.
[FIX] When a container was saved with ignored items inside it, those items would disappear when restoring (e.g., a barrel saved with a pot containing meat — the meat would disappear when the barrel virtualized the pot).

[NOVO] Adicionado ação de abrir e fechar o storage pelo inventário:
OBS: Aperte TAB, clique com o botão direito do mouse em cima do storage, clique em "Abrir" ou "Fechar". Essa modalidade foi implementada para permitir abrir storages posicionados dentro de pedras, árvores e outros locais que impediam a ação de abrir/fechar o storage escondido.
No inventário, aparecerá um menu com a ação de abrir ou fechar para que o mesmo possa ser utilizado mesmo nestas condições.
[AJUSTE] Melhorado a lógica de auto close dos armazenamentos
[FIX] Corrigido ação nativa de Abrir/Fechar que aparecia em alguns itens que não eram armazenamentos virtuais

NOTE: Press TAB, right-click on the storage, then click "Open" or "Close". This feature was implemented to allow opening storages placed inside rocks, trees, and other areas where manually opening/closing was not possible.
A menu will appear in the inventory with the open/close action so it can be used even under those conditions.
