v20240830

- Added modifiers for when a ruler gains or loses legitimacy consecutively. If a ruler gains legitimacy over several years, they’ll get a positive modifier with some bonuses. But if they keep losing legitimacy, they’ll receive a negative modifier. This modifier has levels, the positive has 3 levels and negative has 2.
- The AI is now more "aware" of the powerful vassal opinion system. If the AI loses too much legitimacy annually, it will start working on improving relations with powerful vassals.

- Multipliers and modifier change depending on Culture Era.
Tribal Era:

  • Count: Years as Count * 0.5
  • Duke: Years as Duke * 1
  • King: Years as King * 2
  • Emperor: Years as Emperor * 4

Early Medieval or later:
  • Count: Years as Count (Count does not have a multiplier)

  • Emperor: Years as Emperor * 6

The deduction per negative relation now is 5% in Tribal and 10% in Early Medieval Era or later.

v20240815

Powerful Vassal Opinions Matter
As a ruler, it is important to maintain good relations with your strongest vassals because they are pillars of the realm and help fortify your legitimacy over the throne. Having good or bad relations with your powerful vassals can impact your yearly legitimacy gain.

Here is a breakdown of this new system:
You need to have at least 60% of powerful vassals with a positive opinion to receive a flat 10% gain on your yearly legitimacy. If you have less than 60%, you will receive a 5% deduction per negative relation with a powerful vassal, which will be subtracted from your yearly gain.
If you have 0% of powerful vassals with a positive opinion, you will start to lose legitimacy yearly, equal to the number of powerful vassals with a negative opinion multiplied by 2.

Here is a list of the required number of positive relations (equal to 60%) to gain the 10% increase:
  • Count: 2 out of 3 powerful vassals
  • Duke: 3 out of 4 powerful vassals
  • King: 3 out of 5 powerful vassals
  • Emperor: 3 out of 5 powerful vassals

NOTE: The percentages does not affect legitmacy gain from outside sources, only affects this mod.

v20240813

- If a ruler is under 16 they will not be eligible to gain yearly legitimacy. The interface message saying this will appear only once.

- Now, the years as a ruler are calculated separately for each title tier. This means that if you are a Duke for 10 years and then create a kingdom, your years as a ruler as King will start counting from 0, and you will gain legitimacy based on those new years as a ruler as they pass. However, if you lose your kingdom, that counter will reset. But you will continue with the lower title tier's years as ruler counter.

Example:
The ruler is a Duke and has been a Duke for 20 years. He then creates a Kingdom and is now a King. The yearly legitimacy will now be calculated based on the number of years he has been a King. If he remains a King for 20 years, he will have been a Duke for 40 years, because even as a King, he still has duchies under his care. However, if he loses the King title, the 20 years as King will reset to 0, but he will retain his 40 years as Duke if he reverts to that title after losing his King title.

- Multipliers for each title tier were changed to:
Count: Years as Count (Count does not have a multiplier)
Duke: Years as Duke * 2
King: Years as King * 4
Emperor: Years as Emperor * 6

I still have more things to implement but for this update this is all.
