Updates:

The player sprite has been changed and the running animation has been added, when you equip new armours (coming soon) it will change the sprite,

Quick update but i thought the player animation was an important one!

Updates:

Attack animations added to the cultist enemies
New projectile added to cultist enemies, this will be changed

Shops!

You can now randomly enter a shop, you can purchase different potions, currently this is the only way to obtain mana and stamina potions, campfires also restore mana, stamina and health

The prices are based on the rarity and quality of the potion

Origin of player changed, this is for depth and affects when an object is behind the player and was a necessary change

New Weapon!

The Bow is finally ingame and this is just it's first iteration, it will be constantly developed but at least now you can shoot from range, you can also use the Fire Arrow skill now,



HotFixes:

Shields and Bows added to the spawn lists.
Handles & Blades removed from spawn lists.
Treasure Chests now drop coins.

Useful campfires!

Standing next to a campfire will regenerate your health, mana and stamina, just be aware it will only work after a battle, after all you can't rest whilst fighting monsters!

You can see if your stats are regenerating via an active buff in the bottom right near your skills :)

This is also a new feature, active effects

This will be expanded on soon

Additional: You can now dive forwards using space, this will consume some stamina and will have a rolling animation at a later date

Leveling Up:

Now you can actually level up, when your purple XP bar hits the end (300 XP) you will level up, at the moment there is no benefit to leveling up but you will also get a chest each time you level, when you hit a new level all the doors will lock and a chest will appear, you must open the chest before proceeding further

Soon the chest will drop random loot and there will be different rarity levels for chests

Player animation is still not done but expect it soon!

Art Upgrade!

Character sprite is now the actual sprite of the game but he still needs to be animated so enjoy sliding around for now :p

Enemy ghosts have been replaced with enemy cultists using the same art style for consistency

UI has been further updated to accomodate armour which is coming in future updates

Campfires!
Yup there are now beautifully animated campfires ingame, they don't give any benefits yet except enemies go ablaze when they hit them but soon i will add perks like putting your sword in the fire will give fire elemental damage and HP, MP and ST will restore after battle when standing near a fire

Skills

Some skills now use their relevant pool, physical uses stamina and magic uses mana, there will be a rare class that uses blood magic but i'm not going to discuss him much right now

Thanks to the community member kccarman16 for his class suggestions, please keep them coming. These classes will be added in the next class update

UI has been completely revamped, the old one was just too messy

Now it's all clean and crisp so you can see what you're doing!


- Tutorial room added when you start, this will be updated soon but for now it's just a place to grab some gear before heading into the castle

Shields!!!

Added procedually generated shields, will add them to the spawn list tomorrow but you can check the new elemental shield when you start the game

enemies can also shoot projectiles at you now and if you deflect it with the fire shield it can ignite targets

will be more elemental shields added later on,

Shield Strength attribute added:
This basically means deflect damage, how much the shot does back to the enemy if you hit them

Shield Block Time attribute added:
This is the amount of time you can hold your shield up when you right click, timing is important ;)


-Added new monster - Bats (They have the same random element system)

Ice Shields and Unique rarity items, if you find one you are more than lucky! :D
