Additional changelog for 2.1.2 "Mussorgsky", compatible with 1.6.0:

- An Art Academy in the technology section next to the well-known academy of sciences as well as sports and tournaments. Here you can find an overview of all artistic activities in the country.
- New artists are generated over time through cultural progress (currently only composers). Composers who are not employed go on their journey as Traveling Composers and can be dynamically recruited by any nation if they meet the requirements. The exception is national composers who remain true to their cultural sphere.
- Recruited composers have four different actions to increase their own reputation or enhance a country's musical tradition.
- Reputation not only plays a role in the musical tradition acquired annually, but also allows composers to write their masterpieces much more quickly - however, this is only worthwhile from a reputation value of 400, or better from a value of 450.
- Composing composers create new compositions over time. The number of compositions plays an important role in the success of a tour.
- Composers who conduct can acquire the conductor trait. Composers who cannot tour can gain more reputation through conducting than through composing, but generate less musical tradition in that time.
- Composers can go on tour if they are either a conductor or a virtuoso and are not yet 65 years old. Composers with the reserved trait generally do not go on tour. It's only worth going on tour if you have a certain number of compositions (around 20, better 25 compositions). A tour above all means a high gain in reputation as well as a small investment in cultural technologies.
- Masterpieces are the absolute composer bonus. Depending on your reputation, such a composition can last between two and 27 years. Only particularly good composers should attempt it. In return there is a big gain in music tradition, reputation and cultural technology bonus. A composer can only write three masterpieces during his lifetime.
- At the start of the game, depending on the rules of the game, there are historical composers in some countries. Famous composers can also spawn during the game via events. Additionally, historical composers (over 100 in total) can spawn as random characters. The historical composers and their tours, however, were abolished. Only Franz Liszt appeared in various European cities during the peak of “Lisztomania” (1839-1847).
- Instruments can now be built in their own factory; they are no longer made together with tools. This should help find a better relationship between instruments and operas. Instruments are also demanded in minimal quantities as luxury goods by rich POPs.
- Operas can be built in any state provided they have an urbanization level of 5.

- Painters added as a new artist group
- Three promotions for painters: educational trip, opening and purchasing a masterpiece
- New building: art gallery
- Four new Centers of Art (CoA) for Realism, Irrationalism, Classicism and Romanticism
- Added Painting Tradition as a new cultural value
- Painting tradition largely depends on the characteristics of a painter. Up to the age of 40, a painter can go on an educational trip and learn new painting styles that will improve him and your annual painting tradition
- Owners of a CoA receive a small increase in Painting Tradition when a painter visits them
- Multiple random events when visiting a CoA on an educational trip
- At the age of 40, the painter settles on a painting style, and there is a possibility that he will then paint masterpieces in this style
- Painters paint paintings per year. 50 paintings can be converted into reputation and painting tradition once in a painter's life
- A painter specializing in a style can create a collection of that style in an art gallery. This collection can be upgraded to an Excellent collection with a Masterpiece
- After the Realism CoA has been activated, a painting competition takes place every five years in which the five best painters are awarded a prize (reputation).
- After unlocking the Irrationalism CoA, a music competition takes place every five years in which the five best composers are awarded a prize (reputation).
- The winner is calculated from a mixture of the paintings or compositions composed so far and positive characteristics of the artist (studied art styles, innovative, careful, ambitious)
- The owners of a CoA of Impressionism, Expressionism and Art Nouveau receive a historical composer after 1900: Maurice Ravel, Arnold Schönberg, Igor Stravinsky. They also own historical masterpieces
- Painters who were created but for whom there is no use are available in the same cultural sphere (that is, a British artist can also appear in North America or Australia, but not in Germany or France)
- Historical painters at the start: Friedrich, Turner, Delacroix, Cole, Spitzweg, Eckersberg
- Masterpieces are randomly generated and based on the style in which the picture is painted. There are currently ten possible names for a Masterpiece style
- Your masterpieces are saved in the game and can be viewed under “View Gallery”
