Update: 11 Jan, 2022 @ 1:18pm

Reworked Settings: Settings have been moved to the sandbox options for better settings management between saves and for server's to change these settings. See more in the settings discussion thread for more info regarding changing settings and how updating works.
Alert sounds: I've added an alert that will play when zombies change speeds, you'll hear a wolf howl when the zombies change to their modified speed(sprinting) and a bird chirping when the zombies revert back to their normal speed(fast shambles). Special thanks to both SpagootNoodels and ManoRusso for the idea.

Update: 5 Jan, 2022 @ 11:38am

Final fix for the out of sync zombie speed issue. Special thanks to the devs over at Xeph zombie modification.

Update: 1 Jan, 2022 @ 4:57pm

Potential fix for zombie's having the wrong speed type when the client loads in just as the speed types change.

Update: 29 Dec, 2021 @ 3:45pm

Finally should fix the issue with zombies not having the correct speed type on dedicated servers.

Update: 28 Dec, 2021 @ 7:36pm

New Update(12/28/2021):

  • Mod Settings finalized(single player and multiplayer): The Mod options are now not changeable in game, in order for them to be changed you will need to quit and load it back up or if you are using the new permanent settings option they will now not be changeable no matter what you do.
  • Dedicated Server update: This update makes it so that the players settings will not affect the game world and instead the server's settings are the only one that matters. Sadly, there are still some issues, more information in the known issues section.
  • Fixed a potential mod capability problem as point out by @co.

Update: 18 Dec, 2021 @ 2:38pm

Uploaded a new version that will allow you to change what speed types you want for day and night. So you can have day be random zombies and night be all sprinters or any other combinations that you would like.

I've also updated it so that this mod will only run on the "server"(single player isn't affected). There was an issue(still is with some mods) where the client can have authority over server settings. This is what @Just a Dam Weabo was facing. This update should ensure that only one version of the mod is running on any given server on the server side only. Yeah lol, this means nothing.

This will likely be the last update unless there is any massive bugs that need to be fixed.(spoiler alert, there was).

Update: 17 Dec, 2021 @ 6:48pm

New version that uses mod option for settings now, also fixes multiplayer for real this time. No it didn't.
