Among the Ancient update

-Nerf to incendium rod

The high heat generation make the reactor with just one rod run below 10% fission making the rod last a lot longer than planned so I tried to discourage their use without taking out their utility for fuel efficiency

Lower its durability from 150 down to 50 to reflect the "faster" burnout of the rod compared to others in its description

Made it also slightly damage the reactor every second and burn slightly neaby entities

A flare sound loop let you know when incendium is inside the reactor

-Radiation sickness now has a build in geiger counter sound effect, sound starts at 25% radiation sickness

-Lower thorium rod durability down to 300 from 400

-Updated the in game manual to reflect the changes

-Changed lights effect on the reactor : the overheat lights now only shows up when the reactor condition is critical

-Visual & sound effect for reactor coolant rupture right before and after going critical (stage 1 only), serve as cue to why you take burn damage at this point


Updated the new items from Among the Ancient update

-All rods : added quality the new system and the code to allow them to be used with the fission accelerator ( couldn't fire the weapon otherwise )

-Nuclear salt bomb (or whatver its called) after emitter also give out contamination

-Slipsuit : self patched as it take the combat suit stats with the new "variantof" parameter introduced in the update

-Volatile fulgurium rod : is roughly half the respective strength of incendium and fulgurium but also carries over many of their drawbacks

Changed its crafting template to use fulgurium and incendium

-Depleted rod : should be now allowed to be crafted with incendium rods too

-PUCS : contamination immunity added


Removed

-Utility diving suit : Removed since PUCS can fill that role now

-Super Critical rods : Due to a code bug introduced with the update I removed them until the devs patch it

-Rod active effect

- No more burn damage when reactor is offline under 25% condition

-Fixed outpost reactor bot safety not working leading to bots getting irradiated

-Cleaned the bloodvomit decal a bit, should now be only blood

-Anti rad updated to treat contamination too

-Fixed (?) radiation doing damage when it shouldn't with damages it wasn't supposed to have, added back the grain effect to max radiation level (stage 4 & 5)

-Changed DNA damage to apply damage a bit later after the icon show up and its death sequence when it reached 100%

Honeslty no idea what the bug was but just changing value back & forth seems to have fixed it

-Removed EK utility dependency for compatibility and general lack of bugfix/communication avaiable from the author : the important mod items have been integrated into the mod

-QOL : added Reactor operating manual, contains all relevent info to learn about the main features, can be bought for 50 marks at any outpost and spawn in the reactor cabinet on new campain, since its a terminal please avoid shitposting in it as I can't turn off the ability to write inside of it

-Incendium/fulgurium items can only be bought or sold at research or military outposts, other outpost will not give you any money for it

-DNA damage : changed the bloodvomit threshold at 60% along with the show icon threshold

-Typos fix and description changes

Second rework of afflictions

-Radiation has nausea at earlier stages but remove nausea's visibility from med scanners and health menu

-Reduced chromatic aberation from radiation to make it a lot harder to identify, increased burn damage from radiation

-Add bloody nausea after 50% dna damage causing blood loss and organ damage along screen vision effects

-Severly reduce and increase DNA stabilizer's potency and effect duration respectively (still heals for the same amount in the end) to make it fit the delicate task of restoring genetic material, failing to use the item properly may be fatal, let a skilled doc handle it

You now may only find 1 per station at the vendor

-DNA damage also afflicts internadamage over time ocne reaching the 50% threshold

-Reactors may be repairable at 80% condition

-Sound fixes

New meltdown explosion effect depending of wich rods where inserted when the reactor detonates (does stack if mixing different rods) :

-Uranium/thorium : very large AOE with heavy contamination/radiation

-Fulgurium : fries the submarine entire electrical systems (beyond sonar range EMP effect)

-Incendium : Create a supercritical incendium rod with strucural damage AOE and a quite powerfull burn AOE, become inert after a lengthy period (a flare effect tells when its still active), extremely impact sensitive and will detonate at the slightlest impact likely killing everything in its radius, you can therefore either wait it out or grab it and try to yeet it out of the sub.

Changed diving suit radiation resistance : now only Utility MK1 & Abyss suit give full immunity, other suit grants around 3/4 radiation resistance.

Fuel rods can no longer be stored outside intended containers and can now be throwed (either to drop it faster or dispose it somewhere more safe easier), heavely increased fuel rods radiation range and doubled their affliction tick rate while halving their intensity

Incendium rod is now fitting its description, don't drop that thing seriously.

When reactor goes critical it now also leaks heat causing a moderate burn AOE in the entire room its located in

Swaped vanilla overheat alarm for the reactor critical damage stage 1 alarm and vice versa as they seems actually to be very fitting that way

Changed burn AOE to no longer trigger the ringing sound effect, using a ghost affliction to apply the damage instead

Barocraftable suit compatibility patch

Known bug : the flare effect is always on the top left corner of the reactor sprite box, bug has been reported and is a base game code issue
