v1.8

Sixth Patch

I think you all saw this one coming, but this patch has a lot of noticeable changes this time around!


Balance Changes:

Up Special - Slightly decreased the distance of Amy's extra height boost at the end.

Up Air - Slightly increased the landing lag.

Up Strong - Slightly increased the endlag of the move.

Neutral Air - Adjusted the launch angle of the final hit to 50 from 57.

Down Strong - Added whifflag to the move.

Forward Strong - Increased endlag.

Stat Changes - Slightly lowered Amy's pratfall acceleration and walking speed values.


Other Changes:

Walk - Amy's walking animation has been changed to her slow walk from Sonic Advance 2.

Up Strong - Tweaked the animation of the move a little bit.

Down Tilt - Adjusted the 10th frame in the animation.

Up Air - Changed the visual effects on the sweetspots to match up with sweetspots on Amy's other moves.


I forgot to fix Amy's hurtboxes on this one, so I'm going to take care of that real quick. After that, there shouldn't be any other changes left.

Fifth Patch

Alright, I know I said the previous patch was going to be the last one, but I found a few more things that I wanted to fix up. Each time I release one patch/update, I usually find something that could probably be changed afterwards. But this time around, I took extra care in hopefully making sure that I didn't overlook anything else.

Balance Changes:

Jab - Slightly increased the height of the first two hitboxes.

Up Strong - The knockback scaling on the final hit has been very slightly decreased. Additionally, the positions of the hitboxes leading into the multihit have been adjusted to better align with the sprites.

Neutral Air - Slightly increased the knockback scaling on the final hit. Additionally, the angle on the final hit has been changed to 57 from 70.

Down Tilt - The knockback scaling on the final hit has been slightly increased.

Dash Attack - The stronger hitbox has two less frames of lifetime. Contrarily, these two frames now add onto the time that the weak hit is active for.

Up Special - The lifetime on the final hit has been slightly decreased.

Misc. - Added in a missing part of Amy's victory music at the very beginning.

Alright, hopefully this will be the last patch for awhile, but something tells me it won't be if I have already found something else to adjust. But if I don't end up having to adjust anything, then things will be cool and I won't have to make any more patch updates! Anyways, thanks so much again for all of the kind words and feedback lately!

v1.6

Fourth Patch

I know I said that the previous patch was going to be the last one for awhile, but I decided to go back and adjust down special one more time for good measure.

Balance Changes:

Down Special - The size of the hitboxes have been decreased, and the overall knockback has also been slightly decreased. Additionally, the hitboxes have shorter lifetimes, and the angle of the hitbox has been adjusted to 49 from 51. Opponents who get hit by the move in the middle of a stage at 50% should be able to survive if they DI correctly. Your best shot is to DI upwards.

Up Strong - The starting hitboxes should connect into the rest of the move more consistently on opponents with shorter hurtboxes.

Stat Change - Amy's pratfall acceleration value has been decreased to 0.7 from 0.8.


With this patch released, now I'm going to take another short break from modding again since I have school starting up in a couple of days. Eventually I plan on moving onto my next character, but feel free to continue leaving feedback on Amy in the comments!

v1.5

Third Patch

Like the previous update, this patch includes some minor balance changes for Amy. Although there are a lot of them in this one, it shouldn't really be anything too crazy.

Balance Changes:

Down Special - The move has a few more frames of startup and the size of the hitboxes have been very slightly decreased. However, the Super Armor lasts longer.

Down Tilt - Increased the size of every hitbox in the move.

Forward Air - Increased the knockback on the sour spots of the move.

Up Tilt - Increased the damage on the first hitbox from 5 to 6.

Back Air - Decreased the damage from 9 and 6 to 8 and 5 on the sweetspots and sourspots respectively.

Up Air - Increased the damage on the sweetspots from 8 to 9.

Down Air - Moved the middle ground-pound hitbox up a tiny bit.

Forward Special - Slightly decreased the hitpause on the sweetspot.

Forward Tilt - Slightly increased the hitpause on the sweetspots.

This is probably the last set of small balance changes that I'll implement for the time being. That said, huge thanks to everyone for all of the kind words and feedback so far! I really appreciate it!

Second Patch

This update for Amy includes minor balance changes and sound adjustments.

Balance Changes:

Up Air - Increased hitpause on the sweetspot hitboxes.

Forward Special - Slightly Increased knockback on the sweetspot.

Up Strong - Adjusted the hurtbox during the charging phase.


Sound Adjustments:

Neutral Special, Forward Special, and Up Special have had their attack sound effects adjusted.

Day One Patch

These are simple balance changes made to Amy that mostly include buffs to moves.

Up Air: No longer a multihit, has new hitboxes that properly follow the swinging animation.

Up Strong: Increased knockback on the final hit, kills earlier.

Dash Attack: No longer a multihit, overall hitbox remains the same.

Neutral Special: Damage and knockback slightly increased.

Up Special: Increased knockback on the final hit.
