  • Changed: Removed Virtual Ammobox. Replaced it with Virtual Arsenal.
  • Added: The enemy artillery now sometimes shoots live rounds instead of just smoke. The likelihood of this is determined by a multi-player parameter; in single-player it is quite low. Live rounds are preceded by a pop-up warning and red "signal smoke" to give players a chance to flee. Live rounds will be directed at likely player defensive points, though a large amount of randomness is present. The type of live round and the number of rounds are semi-random.
  • Changed: Artillery now fires more frequently, though the exact time between salvos is random.
  • Added: All ammo boxes are indestructible, so they can't be destroyed by this new artillery.
  • Improved: Enemies now have a chance of using the new balaclava and face-mask bandanas for a more sinister look.
  • Changed: Reduced the distance the players had to drive the escape boat before victory was attained. Also, added a message directing them westward once they're underway.
  • Changed: Player and AI load-outs at the start of the mission now are crammed full of spare magazines. This is to minimise the likelihood of AI running out of ammo during the mission.
  • Added: Ammo that the AI uses (MX and Mk200 magazines) has been added to the "special" ammo box to make life easier in single-player should the AI need more ammo.
  • Changed: Default multi-player parameters were altered for a more difficult experience.

Tweaks and additions based on further multiplayer testing.

This mission is now released to the public.

  • Added: Option to change enemy skill level.
  • Added: Motorised enemy squads now spawn (rarely) in place of ordinary squads.
  • Added: The enemy occasionally fire smoke rounds from artillery to obscure their advance.
  • Added: Enemy have a maximum squad quota and will not spawn beyond this. This limit is to stop performance degradation. It's quite a high limit and generally should only be hit if the players are letting the enemy run amok; it basically stops a "losing" situation from turning into a "losing and lagging" situation.
  • Fixed: Sometimes JIP players would not see briefing information.
  • Changed: Less enemies overall. The default was a bit ridiculous. (You can still tweak enemy quantities in the multiplayer parameters.)

Tweaks on first round of multiplayer testing:

  • Fixed: Contents of "special weapons" crate was not syncing properly.
  • Fixed: Contents of offroad vehicle was not syncing properly.
  • Improved: "Special weapons" crate now has spare room, so players taking items from it won't leave a mess of abandoned gear outside the crate.
  • Added: More options for the multiplayer parameter "squad size", including "minimum" where only one soldier will spawn per enemy squad.
  • Fixed: No more errors when spawning for players who aren't wearing something in their hat, goggles, uniform, vest and/or backpack slot.
  • Changed: AI squadmates now available in singleplayer. Tweaked a few objectives to cater for this. The difficulty of single player increased from a one-man-squad in multiplayer to a four-man-squad.
