Why not on the regular furnace ?
I like to keep it partly locked behind a machine to not allow you to bypass the need completly by the help of a trader or something.

Arc Furnace:
~ Added time to create charcoal recipe (was creating unexpected results)

Automated Oven, Microwave & Packaging Machine:
While the cooked and canned Mushroom does exist it's not a valid reagent and the limited tools I have will not allow me to add it as such.
Adding them would skip the Mushroom reagent and basically make it free.
