QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Added better clarity for Lamb at max stacks, she now glows to represent that she has Respite instead of glowing only when it activates
  • Adjusted values of Wolf's Fang to be a lot more reasonable
  • All prey are now scared of Kindred

  • Lamb is now more likely to be targeted by Hounds

  • Damage Resistance: 90% ⇒ 80%
  • Marks Cost: 10 ⇒ 25

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed the ancient bug of your eyes bleeding every season during daytime
  • Fixed Lamb not having less summer insulation as intended

Mini-rework released to at least leave Lamb at a playable state while we finish up the proper rework.

  Health: 125 ⇒ 100
  Sanity 120 ⇒ 150
  [REMOVED] Extra Healing Received: Lamb no longer heals 33% more from foods
  [REMOVED] Extra Damage Taken: Lamb no longer takes 15% extra damage from all sources

- Nowadays as a developer I know better, this was a joke, calculating effective health meant that Lamb had basically 106 Health, except all damage sources were now unpredictable and hardly balanced against you.
- So I decided to just reduce Lamb's maximum health and get rid of this feature, you should notice no change in gameplay what so ever, except now things will feel fair when they kill you.
- Sanity was raised because it is much easier for me to balance it out and it totally doesn't have anything to do with upcoming Wolf I swear.

[NEW] Dash: Lamb can now Dash with right mouse-click, gaining i-frames that I'm sure many players will use to take as much unnecessary risk as possible

  Dash Cooldown: 1.5s

[NEW] Marks: Finally, Marks are here, and I need to explain in-depth what this means:

  Movement Speed: 15% ⇒ 5%
  Hunger Drains: +25% ⇒ +50%
  [REMOVED] Sanity Resistances: Lamb no longer has resistances against darkness and combat
  [REMOVED] Speed Bonuses: Lamb no longer gains increased speed at night or when starving

All of these mechanics are now something you must earn through Mark of the Kindred:
Milestones: 0 / 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 kills

  Bonus Movement Speed: +5% ⇒ +5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30%
  Bonus Hunger Drain: +50% ⇒ +50 / 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 / 0%
  [NEW] Sanity Multipliers: -0% ⇒ -0 / 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50%

If you know Willow's mechanic of both gaining and losing more sanity, this is the opposite of that, Sanity will be much easier to control and harder to manipulate, as a double edged sword (and totally not related to Wolf I swear)

At maximum stacks you enable Kindred's Respite:

  [NEW] Kindred's Respite: Now only available at max stacks
  [NEW] Added Planar Damage: +5 / 10 / 15 bonus planar damage (still halved in caves)
  Damage Resistance: 80% ⇒ 90%
  Health Regeneration: 2hp every 10s ⇒ 1.5hp every 5s

  [NEW] Redemption: Now adapts to mod configs
  Health Gained On Trigger: 12 ⇒ 33.3
  Cost Of Triggering: 25 hunger ⇒ 10 stacks of Mark of the Kindred

Extra caveats for the sake of it:

  Day-Time Damage: 15% ⇒ 10% (nerfed to adjust to planar)
  Fire Damage Taken: +25% ⇒ +33% (buffed because of extra damage taken being removed)
  Less Drying Rate: -33% ⇒ -50% (this was bugged lol)
  Passive Insulation: 70 ⇒ 120 (EXTRA FLUFF)

  New voice: Ocarina!
  Here's to you kid: Kindred can use Walter's slingshot if you happen to have a Walter in your game (she cannot craft ammo or the slingshot)
  Oh shit a ghost: No longer drops a skeleton on death
  I know you'll die a lot: No longer suffers max health penalty when dying (totally not a limitation from Respite's 25% hp trigger)

I am happy to inform that this patch only exists because the fucking developers misspelled "slinghsot" in the code, and thus I had to intentionally misspell slingshot for the previous Fix to work.

[2.5.3] Eye of the storm
  • Fixed for latest update
  • Can now use slingshots (experimental please give criticism)
  • Deals 200% damage during the Eye of the storm event (To match Lamb's lunar theme)
  • That's still just going from 150% at night to 200% at the storm's night
  • Added Wes configurations (75 health, hunger and sanity)
  • Reduced the sanity penalty for killing insects 7.5 >> 5
  • Removed blowdart crafting recipe
  • Removed blowdart's reduced damage
