Additions

Changes

-Sped up Netherguard projectiles by 33%.

Fixes

-Fixed Netherguard's level requirements.

Known Bugs

-Characters using Carrion Call or Wall of Flesh occasionally experience a crash-to-desktop when traveling to a new map. This does not cause any loss of progress.

-Tier 3 Plague Pustules do not benefit from Focus.

-Carapace resets when you swap any of your equipment. This includes your weapons, which means it resets on weapon swaps.

Additions

-Added Netherguard: Summon a pair of netherim glaive-throwers. These minions hurl long-range homing projectiles, and also possess a melee swipe that knocks back nearby foes. Each rank increases damage and armor. Tier 1 causes their glaives to pierce targets, Tier 2 causes the glaives to ricochet off of walls, and Tier 3 causes the glaives to chain between nearby foes.

Changes

-Returned Plague Pustule's delay to 1.5 seconds.

Fixes

Additions

-Added Legion's Grasp: Unleash a multitude of tentacles to ensnare nearby foes and crush the life out of them. Grabs 4 foes within 9 meters and deals Weapon DPS twice per second, as well as crippling the victims' movement, attacks, and spellcasts and gradually dragging them towards you. Costs 10% charge per second and conveys ALL on-hit effects (how much do you trust your lifesteal?). Each rank increases the damage and slow, and each tier increases the radius and adds another target.

Changes

-Increased Plague Pustule's base blast radius and poison cloud radius to 4.5 meters, increased its explosion delay to 2 seconds, slightly increased the manacost, and reduced its weapon DPS scaling to 5% per rank.

Fixes

-Cleaned up Plague Pustule's code, which included fixing a bug that prevented it from benefiting from Focus. Unfortunately, this bug is tied to the land mine functionality, which means Tier 3 pustules still have this issue. Focus users will notice a sharp drop in damage at rank 15, but pure Strength nethermancers won't notice a difference. I'll fix this in the future if at all possible, but for now it's just part of the skill.

Future

Aktualizace: 3. čvn. 2013 v 16.03

Published v.2176

Additions

-Finished up Plague Pustule.

Changes

-Reduced Void Barrage's homing detection angle and removed its line-of-sight check. You might shoot at a wall once in a while, but at least you won't accidentally run around that wall to your death.

-Reduced Abyssal Gaze's fear and stun chances, and reduced the fear chance per rank. Rank 1 now has a 52% total chance to cause either stun or fear, with fear being more common. Rank 15 has about a 92% chance, with stun quickly becoming far more common.

-Plague Pustule now conveys weapon effects.

Fixes

-Fixed Plague Pustule's tooltip to clarify that it does in fact use Weapon DPS, not plain Weapon Damage.

Known Bugs

-Characters using Carrion Call or Wall of Flesh occasionally experience a crash-to-desktop when traveling to a new map. This does not cause any loss of progress.

-Carapace resets when you swap any of your equipment. This includes weapons, which means it resets on weapon swaps.

Future

Published v.2164

Additions

-Added Plague Pustule (basic rank plus one rank of each tier): Hurl a disease node that explodes after a short delay, damaging foes and leaving a lingering poison cloud. Each rank increases the blast damage. Tier 1 increases the blast radius by 50%, Tier 2 doubles the poison cloud duration, and Tier 3 causes the pustules to act like land mines if nothing is around for the initial explosion.

Changes

-Very slightly increased the size of Miasma's hitbox.

-Reduced the out-of-combat timer on Carapace to 3 seconds, and added a visual indicator for the cooldown.

Fixes

Known Bugs

-Using Carrion Call or Wall of Flesh occasionally causes a crash-to-desktop when traveling to a new map. This does not cause any loss of progress.

-Carapace shatters when you swap any of your equipment. This includes your main-hand weapon, which means it shatters on weapon swap.

Future

-Probably going to make the third Flesh attack soon, and another Plague passive.

---Additions---

---Changes---

-Reworked Carapace. Instead of regenerating while you are at high health, it now generates the listed amount of shield and then stops. Once the shield breaks, it will then wait until you have taken no damage for the last 4 seconds before starting to regenerate a new shield. The shield regeneration rate and maximum shield strength have not been changed. Yet.

-To compliment the new Carapace, I have also added a skill that shatters your current carapace and begins regenerating a new one, in case you want to top it off before a big fight. Just like having it broken in combat, you still need to avoid damage for 4 seconds. New nethermancers will start with this skill, but existing ones will need to purchase it with a skill point (sorry!).

-There are two notable quirks about the way this new Carapace works.
--First, after the shield has actually started regenerating, it will keep going until it has given you the full shield amount. Damage won't stop it unless it's enough to counteract the regen and break the shield again.
--Second and most important, there is such a thing as unblockable damage, and I worded Carapace the way I did for good reason. If you've ever spent time as a high-level engineer, you'll know that a lot of traps and ground-based damage fields can kill you right through Force Field. Be VERY careful around these mobs because they can and will pop your shield instantly. I'd fix this, but coding restrictions force me to use health damage to detect an empty shield and restart the regeneration process. Plus, I have to admit I kind of like the idea of such a big weakness for such a strong skill.

Aktualizace: 29. kvě. 2013 v 14.14

Published v.2013

---Additions---

-Gave the class a proper outfit, instead of a mashup of Berserker and Embermage stuff.

---Changes---

-Slightly reduced the mana costs on Void Barrage and Void Helix.

-Void Helix's projectiles are a little less HUGE.

-Put Implosion back where I found it.

-Returned Abyssal Gaze to its original charge cost of 33..16%.

-Swapped Miasma's tier bonuses. Tier 2 is now the miasma pool on kill effect. Tier 3 is now the charm chance.

-Carrion Call's blast radius is now a flat 5 meters and its damage has been reduced a bit at lower ranks.

-Reduced Festering Bulwark's blind chance to 33..66%.

-Gave Tentacle Lash its immobilize again, pushing the stun chance from tier 1 to tier 3

-Carapace absorption reduced to 10..150% of max HP, health threshold set to 80% at all ranks, and knockback resistance set to 50% at all ranks.

---Fixes---

-I'm not sure if this was a problem in a released version or if I did it recently, but if Tesseract wasn't giving its pull resistance, it is now. The buff tooltip won't show it, and again that's due to a typo on Runic's end that is easily fixed, but fixing it would cause a lot of easily-avoided compatibility issues. You're just going to have to trust in the tesseract.

-Fixed Void Helix not properly charging when first loading into the game.

-Fixed a bug with Miasma's damage radius not matching its graphic.

---Future Stuff---

-I suspect I know why Carapace is so crazy strong no matter how "weak" I make it, and if my hunch is correct then Carapace is going to be getting reworked so that it regenerates only while out of combat. I'll probably remove the health threshold and may even be able to buff the total shield amount and regeneration rate again. It will still be quite strong at preventing the occasional glass cannon instagib and will provide a nice health buffer while melee types build up their charge, but it won't grant the ridiculous -sustained- durability that it does now.
