Some rather glaring issues commanded a surprise update (namely, the mini Dodorex not being a permanent tame as intended, and Dunkleosteus saddle not being craftable), and because for the Sunday update I'm meaning to do a sweeping rebalance of breeding and the swimming speed of non-aquatic creatures I wanted to get some competitive balance things out of the way early to complement handling the aforementioned bugs.

–Balance changes–

Titanosaurus can stun anything up to 1070 drag weight (essentially anything on land except other Titanosaurs and Dodorex) for 4 seconds, increased usage cooldown to 6 seconds. Increased Titanosaurus run speed from 400 to 500 (25% increase)

Improved Pachycephalosaurus climbing power – can navigate slopes up to 67 degrees (same climbing power as Smilodon)

Lowered Therizinosaurus damage per swing back to 48

Dodorex is only tameable at level 100, as a passive tame with Arthromyroda providing camouflage. Dodorex is now classified as a boss creature, and hence is immune to a wide variety of debuffs, including stunning and bleeds (but is not immune to Trike & Pachyrhino's enrage.) Dodorex's firebreath now drains 1.5% of the victim's HP per second, up from 1%. Dodorex is now ONLY tameable with T. rex kibble. Restored the splash damage of fire-breath, deals 17 damage x18 (scaling with melee damage) + normal melee damage. 10 second cooldown between firebreath uses, increased stamina cost from 20 to 102. Can spawn in Redwoods to allow for taming on Ragnarok. No longer inflicts bleeding with its basic attack.

Ancient Leech now has 75% resistance to ranged attacks, but HP gain per second from its vampirism buff reduced from 750 to 250

Argentavis Grab Weight increased from 89 to 107 (can seize creatures up to the size of terror birds & direwolves)

Quetzalcoatlus stamina increased from 468 to 500 (6% increase)

Increased Dryptosaurus stamina from 375 to 406 (8% increase)

Titanoboa drag weight increased from 71 to 107

Increased Giganotosaurus stamina from 250 to 312 (25% increase)

Lowered Longbow damage from 142 to 118 (16% damage reduction)

Lowered shortbow damage from 47 to 39 (16% damage reduction)

Doedicurus only has the pound animation for its attack now. Reduced damage from 50 to 37, but does damage twice with attacks, and attack speed has been increased by 25%. Increased Doedicurus's size by 28%, is now considered a “big dino” & allows for standing on its back. Movement speed increased by 50% (but rolling speed kept at the same value.) Increased roll damage from 100 to 111.

Increased heavy slingshot stun duration by 50%

Increased Araneo stamina from 437 to 500 (14% increase)

Lowered wild pelagornis speed by 25%

Lowered wild phoenix speed by 25%

Lowered Triceratops damage from 65 to 56 (13% reduction), lowered taunt damage reduction from 50% to 25%, lowered usage cooldown to 45 seconds, reworked the taunt's sound effects. Due to now applying a unique debuff, Triceratops & Pachyrhinosaurus taunts stack rather than refresh each other for a total damage reduction of roughly 63%.

Increased the radius of Gallimimus, Ichthyosaurus, Mammoth, and Parasaurolophus buffs by 50%

Added particle effect to better indicate the heavy club's debuff

Increased stack size of all Zero to Hero meats to 1000

–Bugs & issues fixes–

Dodorex should no longer despawn after taming, as intended. Dodorex uses proper stats for an unarmored mount. Existing Dodorexes will need to be destroyed.

Wyvern imprinting quality in line with other creatures - +20% to stats, rather than +10%

Ancient Leech tamed HP gain made inline with other unarmored creatures; +6% instead of +4%

Shortbow arrows no longer count itself as a crafting resource

Doedicurus can attack while swimming

Dunkleosteus saddle is properly craftable

Pelagornis saddle is correctly learnable at level 20, and only costs 15 engram points.

Removed fall damage from all rideable fliers, due to a tendency towards taking fall damage on landing.

Ancient Leech aggro radius increased, made immune to being knocked out. Can be passive tamed with repellent.

Therizinosaurus damage increased by 16%

Titanoboa is immune to being knocked out, no longer gives prime meat, and is now a passive tame with repellent, significantly increased in size.

Microraptor can be passive tamed with repellent

Pegomastax now added to the list of creatures affected by repellent.

Sabertooth Salmon no longer inflict the blood drain debuff.

Megalania now gives 3 venom when extracting peacefully, rather than 1. Pulmonoscorpius & Titanoboa follow suit.

-New Content-

Introducing the shortbow! Where the longbow specializes purely in slow but devastating power, the shortbow specializes in rapid fire, and a better tranquilizer arrow, dishing out more torpor per hit and slowing down smaller enemies.

Introducing the heavy slingshot! A direct upgrade to the regular slingshot, the heavy slingshot deals vastly increased torpor, fires faster, and will briefly stun enemies, provided they aren't utterly colossal.

Introducing the heavy club! A direct upgrade to the standard club, dealing more damage, more torpor, and dazing smaller enemies, causing them to move slower and deal less damage.

New resource! Pulmonoscorpius now drops venom of its type, and is used in crafting the shortbow's tranquilizer arrow together with Titanoboa venom. Tamed Pulmonoscorpius will allow for this venom to be harvested.

New Engram & item! Tranquilizing Toxin, the combined toxin of Pulmonoscorpius and Titanoboa, used to craft the shortbow's tranquilizing arrow.

Antivenom is now properly included in Zero to Hero! For reals. Craft with 10 stimulant and 1 Titanoboa venom, giving you and any pets who consume it a long lasting torpor recovery buff.

Coelacanth, Megapiranha, and Salmon drop unique meats. These are now the preferred foods of creatures that previously preferred some kind of fish egg (Ichthyornis, Baryonyx, Spinosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Direbear, etc.)

Implemented Slaughter option for Ammonites, Carbonemys, Coelacanth, Daeodon, Dodo, Dung Beetle, Kairuku, Phiomia, Sabertooth Salmon, and Trilobite. These livestock can be properly raised as intended in PVE now!

Increased Player HP gain from 10 to 20

Dramatically reduced wild troodon's running speed

Increased Carbonemys swim speed by 50%

Renamed Phiomia Meat to “Pig Meat.”

Daeodons now drops pig meat, gives 25% less compared to phiomia

Pelagornis now allows for the use of mounted weaponry! Pelagornis also harvests 3x as much organic polymer.

Spinosaurus fish harvest increased by x2

Baryonyx fish harvest increased by x3, and is correctly set to heal vs fish now

Increased stunnable drag weight of Baryonyx & Purlovia to 1070.

Reduced wild Megapiranha speed by 60%, tamed megapiranha speed reduced by 20%

Pteranodon's roll attack now stuns victims struck by it, vs targets up to 278 drag weight (roughly Allosaurus sized) for 2 seconds. Usage cooldown increased from 2.5 to 3 seconds. Increased damage from 30 to 40 (33% increase)

Dramatically lowered the torpor output of wild Pulmonoscorpius & Titanoboa

The stun inflicted by Ankylosaurus and sauropods stuns creatures up to 557 drag weight (down from 669) – anything Giganotosaurus/Diplodocus sized or larger is now immune.

Argentavis attacks inflict bleeding vs creatures, 0.75% of victim's HP per second for 5 seconds, and boosted hide & pelt harvesting. Attack damage lowered from 30 to 25 (17% reduction.)

Decreased Pachycephalosaurus charge bonus from x5 to x2.5, decreased damage from 25 to 15 (40% reduction.)

Decreased Pachyrhino damage from 45 to 30 (33% reduction)

Lowered Thorny Dragon damage by 25%. Halved the torpor Thorny Dragons reflect back to melee attackers, halved quill throw damage & reduced torpor output from x10 immediate & x5 overtime, to x5 immediate & x2.5 overtime

Tamed Dilophosaurus movement speed increased from 937.5 to 1000 (6% increase.) Wild Dilophosaurus speed decreased to 500.

Araneo speed increased by 25% (Tamed speed: 1000, wild speed: 750)

Pegomastax can be passive tamed if crouching or otherwise camouflaged

Halved the aggro radius of Megalolamna

Halved the aggro radius of Mavrodon

Slightly lowered Chalicotherium aggro radius

Diplodocus's Brandy item no longer requires beer to craft. Thatch and berry crafting requirements increased by 5, takes 30 minutes to craft instead of 10 seconds.

Lowered Parasaurolophus's Second Wind usage cooldown from 45 to 30 seconds – can be maintained indefinitely.
Increased stamina regenerated from 110 to 250.

Increased Giganotosaurus's Berserk damage bonus from +25% to +30%.

Lowered level requirement for poison & poison arrow from 74 to 30, lowered the combined engram point cost to 11

Lowered Stegosaurus bleed damage per second by 25%

Lystrosaurus can now be picked up in the style of dodos

Lowered the spawn chance of ancient leech from 25% to 5%.

Fixed Thylacoleo pounce, will properly seize targets again

Hold onto yo' butts, A LOT happened on the first (scheduled) update! Due to significant editing of spawn properties, a wild dino wipe is highly recommended.

–Balance changes–
Procoptodon has been overhauled: it can now be milked! Gives a unique milk, “Thin milk” which gives 10 less food, but 10 more water. (15 food, 25 water.) Procoptodon no longer gives itself momentum when it jumps and is no longer immune to fall damage. Instead of a bite, Procoptodon can kick, delivering extreme knockback, a speed debuff (-25%), and stamina drain (x4 damage dealt.) Procoptodon's damage has been increased from 10 to 25. Wild procoptodons will fight back instead of fleeing, though they will flee at 50% HP rather than the usual 25% HP.

Removed the guaranteed twin aspect of livestock breeding power creatures; chance of twins is 15%, chance of triplets is 3%. The chance for twins & triplets is 50% higher than default.

Thylacoleo damage increased from 40 to 45 (+12.5%), and its basic attack inflicts a bleed debuff draining 1% of the victim's HP per second. Lowers victim's speed by 25%, but does not disable sprinting.

Thylacoleo's pounce damage increased from 70 to 90 (+28%), and mauling damage from 140 to 180 (+28%)

Thylacoleo's base HP increased from 400 from 500 (+25%), carry weight increased from 200 to 250 (+25%), drag weight to 178, and sprinting stamina cost to 17.8 (up from 14.2)

Thylacoleo's pounce & maul inflict a speed & bleed debuff over 10 seconds; -50% to victim's speed, and the victim loses 1.5% of its HP per second.

Improved the rotation power of the large marine creatures

Removed momentum from all marine creatures, with the sole exception of Dunkleosteus & Megalolamna due to their charging mechanics

Tusoteuthis inflicts bleeding with its attacks. Maul damage increased from 97 to 388, due to it not scaling with melee damage.

Mosasaurus attack speed raised by 50%

Plesiosaurus attack speed slightly lowered

Poison wyvern projectile has been overhauled. Tamed poison wyvern projectile deals 85 damage. Wild projectile speed decreased from 6750 to 3375, used once every 3.75 seconds, and has reduced damage (explosion: 42, DoT: 10 damage every 0.5 seconds)

Removed torpor output from lightning wyvern. Increased damage per tick from 5 to 20.

Lowered fire wyvern DoT damage percentage from 1.5% to 1%

Ichthyosaurus swim speed boosted to 2500, and has received a new ability keybound to secondary attack;

Ichthyosaurus can give allies in radius a +25% swim speed boost and +10% land speed boost for 30 seconds. This ability has a 45 second cooldown between uses.

Parasaurolophus buff has been rebalanced; swim speed buff is now +10% (down from 25%.) Stamina gain per second increased from 22.3 to 110, allowing it to cover the sprinting cost of every rideable creature in ARK.

Megalania claw swipe damage lowered from 50 to 37 (25% reduction.) Movement speed increased from 625 to 750 (20% increase.)

For all pack creatures, the gang buff damage per member has been reduced to +10%, and resistance to +7.5%, down from 12.5%.

Lowered the total gang buff damage bonus and resistance of dilophosaurus & troodon by 20% (from 18.75% to 15%)

Lowered Dryptosaurus speed from 1500 to 1375 (9% reduction), lowered Dryptosaurus damage from 35 to 30 (15% reduction.)

Lowered the spawn frequency of Dryptosaurus and the potential pack size. Dryptosaurus armies shouldn't be dominating the redwoods anymore.

Somewhat lowered the potency of stealth; enemy detection radius against stealth from Mavrodon & Megalania increased from 750 to 1000 (33% increase.) Enemy detection radius against Pachyrhinosaurus stealth increased from 750 to 1250 (66% increase.)

Pachyrhinosaurus now camouflages players on its back or in touch radius. Passengers shouldn't draw aggro anymore.

Increased Pachycephalosaurus stamina drain multiplier from 2 to 4. Reduced time needed to achieve maximum stamina drain from 4 to 2 seconds. Pachycephalosaurus torpor output is restored; deals 6.25x its damage in torpor.

Pachycephalosaurus should also be able to harvest berries with its attack now.

Wild Direwolf run speed lowered from 1625 to 1421.875 (12.5%)

Lowered wild Mavrodon speed from 1750 to 1531.25 (-12.5%.) Lowered spawn chance of Mavrodon by 15% and removed the potential for Mavrodons to spawn in swamp waters.

Titanoboa's speed reduction debuff no longer prevents sprinting. Icon & description has been changed to “Tranquilized.”

Increased the affinity troodon gains from its unique taming system by x3.

Unicorn spawn frequency lowered by 25%

Milk spoil time increased from 15 to 30 minutes

Diplodocus tail swipe damage doubled, stomp damage increased by 79%. Usage cooldown lowered to 3 seconds.
Increased Brontosaurus tail swipe damage by 50%. Stomp damage of Brontosaurus doubled, usage cooldown lowered to 3 seconds.

Titanosaurus tail swipe damage increased by 50%. Stomp damage doubled.

Lowered wild Titanomyrma soldier speed by 25%

Titanomyrma AI reworked: dramatically lowered Titanoymra drone & soldier aggro range, they are all but neutral creatures now. Harassing or encroaching upon one ant or will anger every ant in the area, however.

Griffin speed very slightly boosted to 1693.125; the casual gliding speed of griffins has also been increased from 750 to 1075

Mosasaurus, Tusoteuthis, and Plesiosaurus have received significant speed boosts; wild swim speed is roughly 1406.25. Tamed swim speed is roughly 1875

Tamed Megalodon & Dunkleosteus speed is boosted to 1500

Spinosaurus swim speed boosted to 1625

Ancient Dimetrodon swim speed raised to 1575

–Bugs & issues fixes–

Attempted fix: Arthropleura & Titanoboa overspawning. Arthropleura & Titanoboa have been reassigned to spawners with added information to cap their population. In general, Arthropleura and Titanoboa should be much rarer units now. Titanomyrma can be additionally expected to spawn alongside them; due to some technical details needed to make this work. This means that Titanomyrma soldiers & drones now exist where titanoboa & arthropleura traditionally spawn.

Fixed issue with Megatherium not harvesting any resources.

Restored the augmented hide & pelt gathering of all the saber cats (Mavrodon, Smilodon, Kryadon)

Megatherium is now inline with other passive tames in requiring you to be high enough level to learn its saddle engram before being able to tame it.

Lowered the mating range of creatures which are expected to have wandering enabled from 3600 to 250 to limit unwanted matings.

Ammonites are no longer rideable.

Anglerfish now generates angler gel overtime when allowed to wander.

Correctly adjusted fairy moth to only consume rare flowers and enduro stew

Ankylosaurus saddle now must be learned at level 70, and requires 40 engram points to learn.

Morellatops saddle now must be learned at level 25.

Buufet should correctly generate cementing paste over time now

Vultures lay the correct unfertilized egg (was previously laying dimorphodon egg.)

Due to issues with crafting benches, ALL weapons , armor, and ammunition have been reverted back to vanilla variants, with the sole exceptions of the thrown spear (due to its role in slaughtering livestock) and lasso (to allow it to be crafted on the equus.) Immense apologies for the inconvenience of this.

Lowered melee spear damage to 32.

Lowered Longbow damage to 142 (still 50% more than the crossbow.)

Lowered the base damage of thrown spears to 100

Rock elemental, Diplodocus, Paracer, Brontosaurus, Megalosaurus, Titanosaur, and Arthromyroda saddles no longer require a smithy to craft.

Arthromyroda saddle is now properly labeled.

Longbow now requires a custom ammunition instead of using stone arrows. “Longbow arrow” - learnable at level 30, requires stone arrow engram and has identical crafting requirements to the stone arrow (but also consumes a stone arrow to craft.)

Poisoned arrow requires the poison engram to learn.

Fixed Poisoned Arrow debuff to not have its effects end prematurely.

Fixed troodon paralysis to not have its effects end prematurely.

Improved Spinosaurus rotation in water.
