*DISCLAIMER*
Before we begin, I'd just like to say a few things. This is a guide on how some people prefer to play the game. I AM NOT telling people how they should or shouldn't play. Play however you wish. The game is for your amusement, after all. I am aware that some of the circumstances presented in this guide would be unrealistic in actual war and just flat-out not used in a competitive environment. Please do not hate on this guide just because you dislike the information I am trying to put out. Even though nearly anyone that has played this game for more than an hour and has an IQ higher than what I can count on my fingers already knows everything there is to know about this guide.
What Is 'Honor'?
Honor, as far as I can tell, is a social construct within the fighting of the game. The idea that there are fighting styles that are honorable and fighting styles that are dishonorable. Many players prefer to fight honorable for a couple of reasons. First off, playing honorably makes a 1v1 entirely skill-biased. Some characters, such as Raider or Warlord are savants when it comes to throwing and shoving their enemies off high places. Furthermore, playing honorably usually makes it fun for everyone. When people get ganked (Unfair fights such as 2v1, 3v1, 4v1) they tend to get frustrated and blame their team for them losing. When two people are fighting and one is winning, but then the other one gets a good parry and pushes the winning fighter off a ledge to his death, there can tend to be a lot of salt, or anger. If all fighters play honorable there is almost always more "Good Fight Man! You are an excellent Kensei!" and less "What the hell! ♥♥♥♥ you! That move is OP! Screw yourself you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Kill yourself, you ♥♥♥♥!"
How To Be 'Honorable'
If you have chosen the honorable path, you probably want to learn more. I'll just make this section mostly a list, so it is easy to contemplate.

Things that are considered 'Honorable':
  • Not pushing your enemy off a ledge, even if you get the chance to do so.
  • Letting the enemy and a teammate duel it out in a 1v1, regardless if you are losing the match or not.
  • Letting your opponent execute a teammate that they just did a 1v1 with before you engage them in combat.

Things that are considered 'Dishonorable':

  • Pushing an enemy off a ledge. (Note that this isn't dishonorable if you get a GB and your enemy is one heavy away from death. You can still choose to ledge them instead.)
  • Joining in with a teammate to 2v1 someone.
  • When an enemy is executing a teammate, and you stab them in the back.
  • Running away from a losing duel.
  • Using revenge when in a honorable 1v1

Things that are considered of 'Highest Honor':
  • In an elimination match, allowing an enemy that you have a significant advantage vs. (whether that be health or powerup) grab a powerup of their own to balance out the fight. Only do this if everyone is being honorable and only doing 1v1 matchups. If people are playing elimination normally, then give them no mercy.
  • If you are fighting someone who is not very good at a character that you are great at, or just is a new player, teach them a thing or two!

Things that are considered of 'Highest Dishonor':
  • Immediately running away from a duel and going to gank another enemy.
  • Saying or pretending to play honorable and purposefully doing something dishonorable.
  • Using revenge to save yourself in a honorable 1v1 when you previously refained from it.
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed this guide and perhaps even found it somewhat educational. If you are triggered by this guide, then please refer to the disclaimer section. If you even shed a single tear in anger and frustration because of this guide, please see the disclaimer section.

All the ♥♥♥♥♥ I give aside, anything you'd like to add to any of the paragraphs or better yet the lists? These were written off the top of my head and weren't thought out much. I probably missed a lot. If you suggest something that I believe should be added, then I certainly will. I appreciate all the help you can give me, even if it isn't added!

On Uplay and the game itself, I go by DeadFilthyWeeb. If you happen to see me, then say something like how crappy my MS paint skills are, and we both can have a good laugh. I'm probably one of the most honorable people you will ever see.

honor in 4v4 gamemodes is stupid, its a 4v4 gamemode not a 1v1, same could be said with 2v2's but with a lesser extent

Throwing a dominion match to 1v1 is the opposite of "honorable". You're letting down your team to let the enemy "have a good time?". Save it for the dedicated 1v1 game mode. So glad this guide is literally years old and we aren't having this discourse anymore.

I don't get mad over ledging, but I still try not to in honorable fights cause it can completely negates someone else's fun or skill they might have. I prefer not to but I've done it a few times and had a rematch after the fact.

Being 'honorable' is stupid. Ledges are just a part of the game- not getting ledged or ledging the enemy IS SKILL EXPRESSION in the form of timing and positioning, same for any environmental kills. You acting like ledging is 'dishonorable' is you making excuses.
