What this guide gonna show me?
Simple.
a command on the console that fixes your game for any projectile based class(Soldier, Demo, Medic maybe, Huntsman Snipers, Rescue Ranger Engies, and mainly Pyro reflects!).
with this command your game gets smoother and you gonna see whats really happening with other people conections(teleporting players, flying players stuck in midair).
also the hitscan gets significantly better with shotguns hitting more pellets on the target(another exclusive fix for Pyro/Soldier)
So what's the command?
Just paste that on the console(have in mind that you need to do this on the game startup when the menu shows up paste then on console then enter a game):
cl_interp .0152;
cl_interp_ratio 1;
cl_updaterate 67;
cl_cmdrate 67;
rate 100000
Did this, just join a game and test it!
if you have some friends join an empty server, then try to reflect them so you gonna see that this really works


Is this Cheating??
No.
The type of settings cl_(for Client) arent cheats and they dont affect the other person games
just like the VR viewmodels that use cl_ too
It works on Valve Oficial servers?!?!
Yeah they do!
and now you can help more of your team by reflecting those stomper spammer soldiers with kritzkrieg and kill lots of guys :D

if you put this on an Autoexec.cfg, then no.

well my friend this will help you a lot then since its designed just so you can play with poor conections

because it adjusts the models with your ping and other people ping with that you wont see the default game LERP thats 100 and with that every model has the same walking cycle speed and projectile speed.
this commands make you see what's really happening with the server making those things happen and since you know whats happening your shots will be more accurate and prejectiles too

nevermind, I've figured it out elsewhere.

Given I play on a tethered connection, usually with >100 ping, any idea if this will actually help me at all, or would it instead suddenly make me more aware of my own poor connection?

I'll give it a go when I get a chance, just wondering if you knew :)

Howl away but what I meant was how does it make smoother, what the command actually does "behind the scenes" as it were, why it makes teleporting players visible, and how it can cause more pellets to hit.
