So, you've set up your airport and you're turning a profit but you really want that extra bit of cash to build your new gate? No worries, we have you covered!

Step 1

Here you can see my airport and my current amount of money being $652,400

Step 2

Save your airport and remember the name you gave it, now navigate to the little circle on the bottom right of the panel and click it to open the save location.

Step 3

Now open your airport save file [name].airport with notepad or any text editor of your choice.

Step 4

Now hit CONTROL+F (or if your text editor doesn't support this function use the 'find' tool) and search for "balance"

Step 5

Adjust the value of your balance to whatever you want, I have set mine to one million dollars.

Step 6

Save and re-open your airport in game! As you can see my money has now been altered!

There is another way which will allows me to start with more money and all technology researched. First step is to navigate to the workshop and find an airport that has been uploaded by another player (my favorite is PHNL). Look for an airport with high value and all research completed.

Second step is to download that airport.

Third step is to start SimAirport and find that downloaded airport and load it. Once the aiport loads, look around and see if there are aspects you like, a certain layout or perhaps the flight schedule. Use this opportunity to gather ideas and inspiration.

Fourth step is to save the game. Once the game is saved, sell the airport and you will be presented with a new parcel of land to build the airport that you desire. If you make mistakes or find that your airport is not to your liking, you can always load the saved game and start over again.

go to sandbox, Sandbox menu, And turn on infinite money, Easy :)

Just have an airport where there is only a single stairase down. then make sure the volume of people cannot go down the stairs quickly so there is always a line to go down. next place 2 AD objects next to the stairs. next thing you know is unlimited money with no cheats

I got to the file but when I searched for "balance" it said they couldn't find it.

That's alright, I'm used to be a little black sheep ;)! I found it, modified it and it's not working. The file gets corrupted and I have to start over with a million. I guess they don't like us to fiddle with their files, LOL!
