SOTN is a destination for boaters and those traveling on to the Pdelmo Island.
The city maintains a city park on the western end of peninsula named "Maison Park".
This park features camping, boat launching, and majestic views of the Pdelmo Island.
As a result of SOTN proximity to the Strait of Bloody Penguins, the area provides opportunities for whale-watching. The waters off of SOTN and island offer numerous varieties of marine-life.
