So my friend, you want to be a good Insurgency player? I can't guarantee I can help you acheive that, but I can teach you a simple pre-battle ritual that helps to prepare one's mind, body, and spirit to become a supreme warrior.

First of all, the game needs to have just started. 15 or so seconds before the game begins, you're hanging out in your team's spawn with all your buddies. This is where the ritual comes in. As soon as you spawn, you will load whatever weapon you have on hand. This is a good thing, let it happen.

Secondly, if you bought a sidearm, be sure to pull that out too so your character can load it. If you brought anything like a rocket launcher, pull that out too and watch the cool loading animation that comes with. By now you are almost done.

Lastly, begin pressing the Q and E keys in a rhythmic fashion. This will cause your character to move from side to side in the dance portion of your pre-battle ritual. Do this until just a second before the game begins, and maybe try to get your teammates in on it, as the warrior spirit grows with the number of people doing it.

(Optional, but not recommend: Reload each weapon that uses a magazine to have whatever's in the mag + 1 bullet. This is a nice bonus, but not recommend as it will most often interfere with the dance ritual.)

Now then, done? Got everything? Then you're good to go! Just be aware this ritual only works once, at least until the next round. Make good use of it, warrior.

What if I fire off a full magazine from my gun before leaving spawn? Does that do anything?

@Humble yeah it is mostly percentage-based, but it varies depending on which objective, how many people on team etc.

I wonder, does the respawn wave spawn only when a certain percentage of your team is dead?
