I think that your screenshot and caption provide what exactly is so appealing about playing such an ancient game (by the current year - 2024 - standards). It's a game about storytelling - your story - your dynasty, your rule. It's really interesting. It's a sandbox city sim but it's so small-scale and personal. Some may say, "It's just a pyramid" but as your caption stated, it is a pyramid that took GENERATIONS (in game-time) to build. That pyramid will always have a special place in your heart because of all the time and emotional investment you put into this work. That, and it's a very pleasant screenshot. This game is also a prime example of how going for substance over technical mastery has kept the game's graphics appealing today.
