Gameplay Tips

This guide was created to assist those who are working towards the HINTLESS WONDER and HUNDY HINTS achievements. Most of the suggested questions come directly from the in-game HINTS, however this is not a full game walkthrough. These are only questions that I felt may be a sticking point for others, not all of the questions needed to progress the story. Before playing, keep the following tips in mind:

Verbal mirroring is very helpful in moving conversations forward. Repeating key words and phrases back to the patient will often lead the discussion in the right direction.
If a patient asks you a question, always start your answer with either "Yes" or "No".
Make sure to periodically check your in-game NOTES and CLUES.
If you become stuck and none of the suggested questions are progressing the dialogue, you may need to move on to other patients to uncover leads.

This section is a WORK IN PROGRESS.

These are question variations for the final session with the patient who is also Dr Dekker's killer. Since the killer changes with each playthrough, these questions may only work if you are on the killer's game route.

For Claire in act 3, there's an instance where you need to ask Bryce if he smuggled David's body at the funeral. When he says he didn't, the hints in-game tell you to tell Claire exactly that, but I can't find the correct wording. Anyone got anything?

I'm not getting any responses for Jaya Act 3 "What did you do at home?" or other similar variations of the question. Could this be a bug?

I don't know if you're still working on this but as a suggestion maybe make a note when that question will end things? for instance, if you tell Dr. Warwick to stop gambling before completing the other lines of questioning, he ends up leaving, even if you have other things to explore with him.

Interesting. I need to get back to working on my No Hint playthrough again and confirming that these suggestions are indeed useful, so there's still work to be done. :)

I may add a section for guilty triggers if I can get a list of all 6 compiled.

Jaya's trigger is Dr Dekker trying to fire her before he was murdered. She also conveniently broke the whiskey bottle when she took it to be tested.

Elin's trigger her claiming to have gone home with Max and fooled around with him on Valentine's night instead of taking a cab home alone at the end of the date.
