Step 1: Return home via pause menu or navigation book
Step 2: Pick up any item from garage (Do not use tyres, they will break your game, anything else is fine)
Step 3: Pick up Laika keys from the sun visor
Step 4: Make sure that whichever item you pick up from the garage is in your 'held' item slot, and the Laika keys are in your off-hand.
Step 5: Attempt to place your 'held' item into your car storage. Before the 'placement' animation completes, switch to your keys. If done correctly, the keys will be placed into the car storage instead of your 'held' item. The timing is very generous, so if it isn't working, you're doing something wrong.
Step 6: Return home via pause menu or navigation book
Step 7: If you've done steps 1-6 correctly, the keys should have transformed into a Bull Bar ugprade box, and your keys will have returned to their rightful place (the sun visor)



Fun Facts: This glitch can also be done with any motel room keys, the wallet, passport, tyre iron, or any tools available from the tool rack. This glitch can also be done using your home garage storage shelves with the same effect. You can also utilize this glitch to fill standard storage space with tyres. Though it does seem to occasionally glitch out your car storage.

It's worth noting that whichever item you choose to use, the end result will always be a Bull Bar ugprade. This leads me to believe that the default itemID given to any unknown items in storage is the same ID as the Bullbar upgrade.
Also, if people are really struggling to understand the guide (I dunno, maybe I worded things weirdly or whatever) I would consider making a video just to show the process and potentially make things easier for people. Though I feel the glitch should be easy enough to perform as it doesn't require frame-perfect reactions or brute forcing the system in any way.

It may not seem like much, but free reduced crash damage right from the start of the game? That 'ought to save you some money along the way, plus it saves you the cost of actually buying it in the first place.

On an unrelated note, in my playtime I've found a few ways to cheat the system and 'min-max' profits to a certain extent. Rather than making a bunch of individual guides, I'm considering updating this guide to be a general use 'Poor-man's guide to Jalopy'. Some of these tricks include but are not limited to, getting free oil/water from gas stations, Making easy money off home garage parts, smuggling contraband in your car, and maximizing the space usage in your car.

But before I update this guide with all of that information, I'd like to do a bit more research and testing on the various topics mentioned so that I can ensure I'm providing the most accurate and concise information possible. This includes relevant screen-shots and or videos necessary to illustrate the various techniques involved.
