Intro
I made this guide to help you guys rank faster. Hopefully you get something out of this guide expert or not.
Pips
The basics
So to rank up you need to earn pips. Once you reach 5k bloodpoints in 1 category, you cannot earn any further points for ranking from that category. So try to earn points from other categories once you reach 5k in one.

Pips
  • Under 7.1k you lose a pip.
  • 7.1k Points to not lose a pip
  • 10k Points to gain a pip
  • 5k points in all categories to gain 2 pips
Perks
Core
These are the core perks. They will often help you for many situations.

Self-Care - A must have. This perk is the only perk to give you points in survival category. Healing stops you from going down in 1 hit and grunt sounds.

Bond - This allows you to see your teammates. You can easily find people repairing gens, being chase by killer, or injured allies. You can accumulate a lot of points from this skills so it's another must have.

Sprint Burst - This skill lets you sprint faster. You can gain a fair amount of distance from killer. This makes escaping easier. Strongly recommend it. It has multiple use to turn situations to your favour. Save it until a killer spots you or you need to rush to save a survivor.

Situational
These are good perks. Out of all of them I think these are the best.

Iron Will - Probably my favorite out of all the extras. Being silent allows you to make a smooth escape.

Decisive Strike - This will help you escape killers grasp. Good to keep as it can give you a chance to escape and avoid being hooked.

Small Game - This will help you find traps and totem. Fair exp and shuts down trapper a bit which is a very common killer to bump into. Especially now that traps are faster to place.

Borrowed Time - Gives you and your teammate an extra hit before going down when saving someone from hook. Keeping your teammates alive is always helpful. This is good vs campers too.
Early Game
At early game most people focus in finding each other to repair engines. If you see a totem while looking for a teammate to repair engines then cleanse it. Finding teammates or cleaning totems is a higher priority. While searching for either get a good look at the map. You need to know where to hide or run to knock down boards. Whenever a teammate gets caught go save them. Altruism is an important category to fill since you can't fill it unless you or a teammate is injured unlike other categories that you have more control of. It's the least flexible category in late game so make sure you are healing. It gives the most amount of bloodpoints so unhooking players early is important.

Tips for unhooking
-Wait for killer to leave.
-Walk or crouch. Do not leave trails.
-Move slowly or stop and hide. Avoid being spotted.
-Wait a bit before unhooking survivor. Make sure killer leaves.
-Plan a route to run if killer sees you before you save teammate or any other occasion.
-Remember to avoid leaving trails(scratch marks/running). Killers love following those red lines.
Mid Game
At mid game you should have at least 2 gens left and 7k pip. Your 7k points should most likely made up of engines 50%, healing 25%-50%, and boldness 25%. This is the least risky approach if you prefer earning at least 1 pip. You can focus on healing and boldness if you are confident enough. Your goal here is to make sure you can accumulate 10k points before you die or escape. There are sometimes games that end early but you still don't get a pip because you didn't get 7k points. This is what you do here. If you are going for 1 pip just make sure you got enough for 10k. You never know if you'll get caught before you exit. The second thing you need to know is how to calculate your bloodpoints in each category. You are fine if you have 3k points in objective. Here you need to make sure you have 4k points in healing if you are going for 2 pips. Getting 3k points in boldness is also good here. You can get the remaining 2k points in objective with hatch or exit gates which is why I say you can prioritize in other things like distracting killer.

Tips for boldness
-Prolong the chase. Don't pull boards right away.
-Time knocking down boards.
-Use windows and look for good spots to either knock down stuff or hide.
-Walk and hide when killer destroys boards.
-Flashlight killer if possible when destroying board
-Hide long enough for chase to reset. You get extra bloodpoints from escaping killer.
Late Game
At late game is where you should focus on getting the remaining amount of points you need for 5k points in each categories. By now you should have max heal if you are going for 2 pips. If you have 3k points in objectives then focus on opening both doors or going for hatch. If you have 4k in objective then 1 exit door will suffice. So you have 5k objective and 5k altruism if you had a good run. If you have 3k in objective then that's fine too. If you were short a bit on boldnes and objective then now is a good time to get the remaining points. Dying shouldn't matter since you will get 1 pip either way. So what I usually like to do is put the killer on checkmate using the hatch. I let the killer chase me around the place where the hatch is and gain some points in boldness. If killer blocks hatch then keep a distance and gain some points. Either way is a loss for the killer since you can exit through gates or the hatch. Once killer injures you make sure you are standing on the hatch. The moment you go down escape and collect your 2k objective and 5k survival. If you're missing a bit in boldness you can always head down to the basement.

If you followed some of the stuff I have written then you should have made 10k-20k points. The trick to pushing for 2 pips is mainly to get an estimate on missing points for each category and get the most of what you think you are going to need by late game. I have had games where I was missing 10-20 points to get that second pip. These steps have helped me reduced that.
Rush method
Extra
Some pro like rushing ranks. Especially during rank resets. Basically what you do here is forget about survival. Your goal is to accumulate 1 pip fast then die unless you know it's a game where you can get almost 2 pips. Basically what you do is get 1k-3k points in objective since it's easy. Pick up whatever totems you find. You attract the killer by jumping over obstacles/windows while sprinting. If you are good you will easily get 5k points from killer. After you get 5k points from boldness you focus on saving players from hook. Goal is to get most points early by dropping boards from killer or saving survivors. These are actions that give you 1k points. After you get 10k you let yourself get caught and earn some points in survivors if you think you missing some. Once you get hooked you either try to unhook yourself and repear or you let yourself die and move on to the next game. This lets you accumulate points the fastest way.

Remember this game is meant to be played for fun. Don't worry too much about ranking. This is just here to help you. You rank just as fast by having fun. Good luck~
