Enabling the debug mode
While in game press SHIFT + ALT + BACKSPACE. That should do it. You'll see a confirmation dialog stating "Debugging keys are now available".

The debug options
First locate in your keyboard the tilde key (~), it will be used in combination to other keys to enable the debug options.

Note:These are all the options available. Some of them will do nothing apparently and some combinations can even crash your game. Use with caution.

Example of what the confirmation dialog looks like. This one is for ~ + I.

End the current level instantly

Show the position of the character (X, Y and A)

Hurt the character by 16 points

Enable or disable mouse look (does nothing for me)

Enable or disable clipping (allows walking through the walls)

Take a screenshot (No idea where it is saved)

Quit the game instantly

Slow motion (To disable it insert a blank value)

Enable or disable target mode

Add extra VBLs (Vertical Blanking Signals)

Warp to the chosen level

Extra stuff (it's a blank input, have no idea of how it works)

Enabling debug mode will disable Steam achievements for that playthrough.

Most of the info in this guide is stuff that I found here[sfprod.shikadi.net]. I just tested it and put on a more readily available platform.

Does anyone know the give cheat (~ + X) works? So far, I have found that the word feed works; but, I do not know what else works for that cheat. Pressing the up and down arrow keys cycles through various characters, as is done in password fields for many games (such as the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle games).
