Tips for beginning players
Check your inventory. If your carrying too much, it will make you slow down.

To make a character run, double click the ground with the left mouse button. It may take several times to click on your mouse to do this.

Save often, as with most rpg's, this is a cardinal rule, as your townspeople can die unexpectedly.

You can buy a house, but it costs you 3000 gold to buy it. It is also for a specific quest to do.

Please everyone playing this game, READ THE MANUAL. You can get it by right clicking the game in your library, and select "view game manual". There are tips in it from treasure hunting to building and skills.

Crossing the map may have you run into some bandits or other undesireables. Be wary of this and save often.

There are two ways to travel. You can see a map icon on the side of a screen, or the 4 way one, which looks like a plus sign on the side of a area. The map lets you travel very far. The 4 way one lets you explore near a village or found place. Sometimes, you can find quest items in the plus 4 way map areas, for example, like a child's toy.

You can "spar" with others in the barracks. Just find a trampled spot inside, and talk to the captain, and if he says you can train, go stand in the tranmpled yellowish brown grass. Do not put your weapons out while doing this and it will do it automatically. After training, remember to put your weapons away or you might kill a innocent person in towns.

Earning money the easy way is to talk to any merchant in any village, ask if they need help, and lug their goods to another merchant, usually located in another village. I already earned 12 k money doing this. Also, once you own a town, increase the skill "village management" can increase your money you get to a very high amount from villages.

Make sure to buy the permanent items in the stores. These items are as follows:

~Whistle (Scares away some enemies!)
~Pipe(flute) (scares away some enemies!)
~Torch: This handy device does exactly what the pure teardrop does. It lights up treasures on a area. Put it to use with the copper mirror and you can clear a area of treasures.
~Piece of Moon: If your carrying too much, this item permanently lowers the weight of the items in your inventory. Be aware the piece of moon must be in your inventory to be used.

One time items are items that you can buy from stores and once you use them, they disappear from your inventory:

`Falcon Foot: Uses to buff strength to a companion or self for small amount of time. Good to use when your fighting someone.
`Spider Web: This item supposedly freezes enemies, but when i use, it never worked for me. It could be dependent on magic level.
`Cursed Doll: This item curses enemies and lowers their armor level. Again, i seen no difference when using this item. Again, it could be dependent on magic level skill.
`Copper Mirror: This handy device shows treasure hidden underground. Works great with the torch.

Skill increasing items:

Sometimes you find the following items that increase levels of your skills

`Golden Chalice - gives your main character more charisma permanently
`Thrice Eye Fruit - gives you more identification skill points (only ever found one of these using a pure teardrop)
`Parchments - whether it is for trade or healing, these increase your skills for which one it is. Be aware some parchments only increase your stats for a limited time. For example, the ones used to identify items.

You cannot advance TIME in this game, so you need to wait or go around and do something to advance time in the game.

ONCE NPC's die, there PERMANENTLY DEAD. This includes some companions also. There is no way to bring them back. So you may have to use run and hit tactics near beginning of game to keep your companions safe.

If the enemy overpower's your character, use a choke point to force your characters to fight them one at a time. For example, use a door on a building to fight one at at time. One issue is make sure whoever is attacking has high atk power and defense. Otherwise, this method won't work very well.

If enemies are too strong, try using alchemy by posoining arrows and swords. Also, you can use oil to make fire arrows. This increases the damage you can do with arrows and swords. To use this method, press "I" to access inventory, place arrows or weapons your using the bottom left square, Then add poison potion to it. First off, it only works so long, depending on concentration of poison, so the stronger the alchemy user, the stronger you can make your weapons poisoned. DO NOT DRINK POISONS.

Apparently there is a way to attack the ruler forces found on the map (as a red shield with 2 swords). If you move yourself on the edge of the icon on the map, it might be possible to fight one of the ruler's men, instead of getting 4-6 people attacking you at once.
FAPMAN REBORN's Tips
Note: this information was copied from comments by steam user FAPMAN REBORN. I am only coping and pasting such info from below that are in the comments for help with this guide. Since i cannot enter the additional information in another part of the guide, i may this special section just for their posts. They have not been editied.

Sorry i made a mistake you don't have to kill everyone. You only need to kill every armed person in a town. Children and women aren't required. They can live peacefully even after you killed everyone else.

<Fapman Reborn> 23 hours ago
There's a few drawbacks though:

- If you owned a village this way your Elder cannot build additional building.
Say if a village is lacking the healer's hut then you won't be able to build one with your assigned elder.
- The assigned merchant wouldn't give you any delivery quest.
Also, if you received a quest from another village then your merchant wouldn't take the package from you. I haven't tested whether their inventory would restock or not.
- The village is a ghost town now and you don't get additional recruits.
Well you killed everyone, so... I also don't think the village would repopulate. At least as far as i've seen.
- Do not leave henchmen/companions on the village that you're going to attack.
They would join the villagers and attack you and you'll be forced to kill them.

<Fapman Reborn> 23 hours ago
Also you can conquer a town by killing everyone in said town. Re-enter the town and you can assign your henchmen to be the village elder. AFAIK, this is the only way to get towns like Forest Camp, Byzantine Camp and Mirkwood since you can't get these towns normally like the others.

It seems that RPG gamer man hasn't incorporated stuff from my pastebin to his guide. I'm sad :(

Anyway the kikimora sidequest is the "Camp Disaster" quest right? You can do that quest without fighting the kikimora but to do this requires 50 identify skill. Your character will notice that the viking's kid is actually the kikimora's baby. I don't remember if that's doable on Einar playthrough, cuz that's very early in the game. If you can't do that, an easy way to kill kikimora is to have poison arrow via alchemy. Poison lasts indefinitely. Shoot the kikimora once and just ran around until it's dead. Unfortunately if it died because of poison you won't receive exp, so make sure to get the last hit.
2Trunks tips
Due to my limited space on certain sections of the guide, im making special sections for steam user 2Trunks for their tips and tricks mentioned below in the comments. None of the information has been edited for this section and is recorded exactly as it was shown below.

* Special Characters *
Same as RPG Gamer Man talked aboved : Special characters can be lost if you talked to them and furfill their quests . Some useful some are not , such as Phokas who skilled in Swords , Maria , Olga ...

** Some Characters may not be able to recruit the list above because of the story line . Such as Alexander , Anatasia .

2sTronk Mar 6 @ 8:11pm
Continue with the last part :
- Sigma : the dude is blacksmith from Sea Camp , who is grandson of Sigma oldman, skilled in sword/shield , and being a team Blacksmith . Noted that sigma is best use for who played as any heroes beside Einar the Viking .
- People from Seacamp : high level combat , same skill points , if you played as any heroes beside Einar such as grundhilda , sigma ...
- Radagast : i like this one , skilled in 2 handed-sword , but very low vitaly which is low armor points . He's a strong one if you had time trainning him into a damage dealer .
- Thedora : mercenaries in Trading Post , very skilled in Crossbow because she's a byzantine .
- Maxim : This crazy dude is like Einstein , very high Intelligence , learning skills which will be easy to train up with Elixir of Wisdoms . Need high Intelligence point to talk with him and make he likes you to joinning the team .

2sTronk Mar 6 @ 8:02pm
List of perfect Companions to take them in your line :
- Otta Wolf Fang : very skilled in 2 handed Mace , perfect for a damage dealer with stamina build.
- Yaropolk : The dude is Velmira's body guard so he's good in many ways , skilled in 2 handed stuffs , but i suggest to build him with 2 handed sword , which is useful for late game , until recruiting Radagast in Heavens .
- Helga the Healer : like her name , best healing and alchemy skills , but lack of levels , no worries , bring her wiith Elixir of Wisdoms .
- Ragnar : I like this dude , related with legendary warrior from Part 1 , looks like he is but lost his memories . Complete his quest and you can recruit him despite low Charisma point . Potential to be a second Healer , best fight with sword/axe - shield .

2sTronk Mar 6 @ 7:57pm
No worries at all Gamer Man , your guide is nearly perfect , too much infomations to put in but they don't allow type too many words .

RPG Gamer Man [author] Mar 6 @ 7:13pm
I have changed starting info for each main character thanks to 2sTronk for information on them.

RPG Gamer Man [author] Mar 6 @ 7:03pm
@2sTronk..due to limited space in the guide for some reason, i had to shorten the quest info a bit. Not sure why it won't let me type more, but there is apparently a limit on each section. I still give you credit for them.

RPG Gamer Man [author] Mar 3 @ 8:58pm
The Anastasia fix does not work for everyone, but i have one method i mentioned, and someone else found another method. If one method does not work, i hope the other one works for players. Happy Gaming!

2sTronk Mar 3 @ 8:56pm
No worries Konung RPG Gamer Man , i was finding this FAQs long time ago and found this , you did a far more than good job , some quests that i have never known . And more of all , a fixed issue about anatasia , i will add more not-mentioned quest/tips to this FAQs to help people who wants to play this again ( Nostalgia ) at full experience . Thank you and have a good day .

RPG Gamer Man [author] Mar 3 @ 8:50pm
Thanks for info. I have not played this for awhile, and there is different quests per character, so some of these quests were not available on the character i played. Ill add this information, and thanks for helping out with it 2sTronk. Ill credit you with the quests you mentioned.

2sTronk Mar 3 @ 8:49pm
RPG Gamer Man : Did you notice that Alexander is the only hero who can't recruit Viking Mercernaries ? Basically , he likes to be a lone wolf .
Einar the viking is the hardest character to play , Ratibor / Velmira is the easiest since they got so much of money and respect . So is the level can be sorted out like this :
- Einar / Helga : Hard
- Anatasia / Alexander : Moderate
- Ratibor / Velmira : Easy

2sTronk Mar 3 @ 8:49pm
Fleevillage side quest :

- Luceslav : the no-gears guy wondering around warchief and left side of the village , is the man who lost his memories about his home . So he asked to bring him home , and that place is Pinesvillage . Talk to him when you reached the village and earn large exp / money .
- Beloon's innocent : After you freed Beloon , invite him to join and bring him to Pinesvillage , talk to him and he will give you big money from his parents who died in the village's grave .

2sTronk Mar 3 @ 8:48pm

Sea camp side quest :

- Considered this is main quest of Einar the Viking . You have no choice , just get good and kill off the kikimora in the plus side which is 15lvl and kinda powerful . Tips is : there's a glitch at the tree in front of the monster , attack him , you might need to avoid his rocks , hide behind the tree until he can't see you and stop attacking. Then slowly go out and shoot him till death .

Tip on how to make Einar the Viking easier :

- You need to earn 3500 coins to free Phokas in Trading Post , then recruit him and earn more 5000 coins to buy the grains from merchant at the end of the post ( Below merchant sack ) . Turn on the day/night cycle ( if you turned it off ) , Wait for 1 day and talk to the merchant again , he offers buying back the grain for 10,000 coins ( profit of 5000 ) , Phokas will automatically talk to you insist that he didn't lie , and disappear forever .
Konung 2 FAQs
This section will contain questions and other things about the game...

So on the forum posts on steam, i asked this question about Konung 2 and Konung 2.5 and asked about them. So let me answer your question here about it:

`What version of the game is on steam?

That version is Konung 2.

`What is Konung 2.5?

Konung 2.5 is a fan made mod for the game, made by players of the game, for the game. It can be found randomly on the internet. Be careful when you find it and download it.

`Is it different from this version of konung?

Yes, apparently there are some differences. The Konung 2.5 is considered a better version of the game, but you must find on the internet yourself. I will not post a link to it here. Use this guide for the steam game version, and you will be fine. Also, there is a guide that is pretty good on gamefaqs too.

Is it available in english?

Nope. Those of us who speak and read english sadly cannot play it legitemately.

`Is there a bug for playing the character Anastasia?

Yes there is. Luckily, i found a way to actually fix it. Hopefully it will work for you. Please look in the bugs section below to see how.
Companions and main character breakdown
So, your setting off on your own and want some help. Where do you find help?

Most villages have a hireable mercenary you can get for 3000 coins. This is the easy way to get them, just make sure to check your playable characters restrictions when you start the game. It may tell you in their description box.

First off, the character you play as might have restrictions who you can hire. For example, Anastasia will not hire male mercenaries, but can use guard leaders and quest companions if they are male.

Next, there are specific quests you can do to get companions. In lower camp, you can get HELGA the healer by winning a quest against the chieften's rock game. I suggest before doing the last time with him, and he will tell you, talk to everyone in the village!

Charisma infulences how many characters you can hire. So when your main character levels up, always put some points into charisma ONLY on your main character. It is wasted if you level up companion's charisma levels.

Lastly, each character plays differently in the game. Their experiences are different. So, no matter which character you pick, the game will play differently per character.

Main characters:

~Ratibor: A male character who starts out with two hirilings and owns a town. The drawback is that there are twice as much hunting ruler parties on the map. Beginning Difficulty: Easy, but becomes difficult later in game.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Helga: A female healer from Lower Camp. She can get to hiring people right away in town. She is weak, so make sure to hire lots of people to help her. With a little patience in the beginning, she can become more versatile. Beginning difficulty: Hard.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Velmira: A female character who is middle of the road on skills. She will not hire weak people. Beginning difficulty: Easy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Anastasia: A female character who specializes in bows and crossbows. She does not hire male mercenaries. Beginning difficulty: Moderate, but can be considered hard due to her starting bug (experienced players only!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Einar: Einar is on a island as a prisoner. His skills are very low and bad. He takes awhile to properly train him to a good level if you want him to be better. Beginning difficulty: Hard (experienced players only!)

!!!!info from 2sTrunks!!!!!!!:

Sea camp side quest :

- Considered this is main quest of ONLY Einar the Viking . You have no choice , just get good and kill off the kikimora in the plus side which is 15lvl and kinda powerful . Tips is : there's a glitch at the tree in front of the monster , attack him , you might need to avoid his rocks , hide behind the tree until he can't see you and stop attacking. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Alexander: Alexander is somewhat hardto start out with and play the game. If your new to the game, do not play him first, pick the other characters. Alexander will not hire viking heroes because he likes to be a lone wolf. Beginning difficulty: Moderate.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPECIAL COMPANIONS:

`OLGA: You are required to do a quest to obtain her. Look below at the Lycanthrope quest. If you put her in a town, she will be permanently lost. Also do not kick her out of group or she is permanently gone. WARNING: Doing the High magi rescue quest will permantly lose OLGA in the game. So, it is best if you do this quest before you recruit OLGA! On my personal opinion about OLGA..i think she is the best companion you can have in the game due to her high mortal strike and unarmed attack.

`MARIA: You are required to do a quest to obtain her. Look below at the quest Here comes the fire. NOTE: You will not lose her if you put her in a role in a town, unlike OLGA.

Unanswered quests and unknown things..
This section includes things that i cannot figure out. IF someone figures them out, i will remove them from this section:

Im not sure how to obtain the towns Forest camp and Pinesville in Anastasia's campaign.
Quest tips..
Some quests require high charisma or intelligence, possibly more than 50 points in each to finish correctly, or a quest might even need these two things to be high enough to start a quest.

==MAIN QUESTS==

Mission of the Titans: The main objective of all titans (main characters) is to get a piece of the real amulet and kill the current ruler. This quest is long and in many parts. One part is to check out the side area's at the burnt camp map. Another part of it is to kill all the ruler's troops in a certain camp. The third part is to kill a chief executioner. Good luck! Also, two items are required to actually wound and kill the ruler...a sacrificial knife and a magic vial. One of these items is found on a island mine, while the other one is held by the princess of blackwood that requires proof your attacking the ruler. NOTE: The knife and vial are not to be used, but are key items that just need to be located in your main character's inventory.

==Side Quests==
The following below quests are side quests found in towns. Each one is based out of certain towns. I tried my best to place them in the town they are attached to. Some quests are given on attached area of town maps. I call these plus maps. Also, not all monsters in the game are evil. Try chatting with some of them. You maybe suprised to find out some do quite a bit of chatting.

Forest Camp Quests:
NOTE: Forest Camp has two plus side map areas.

Sigmand the Mad? : Sigmand may act like a mad man, but he is lucid sometimes. If you can figure out what he is talking about, he may mention a secret town where his grandson resides at...

Lower Camp Quests:

NOTE: Lower Camp has two plus side map areas.

The Lost Toy: A boy lost a toy. This item can be found not in town, but in a plus area on a side of a town. If you cannot find it, use a pure teardrop of concentration 2.0 or above. Be aware the doll will change location when you play a new game. Using the pure teardrop at night is better as you can see the glow around items better!

Magus Dice Debt: Viking Akki loves to play dice. Unfortanetly for him, he played against Magus from Forest Camp that likes to play dice alot too. Magus lost quite a bit of money and owes some money to Akki. In order to complete this, use talk options 1,1,2,3. That means the first talk option, first talk option, second talk option, then third talk option once to talk to him.

The Cheater: You might want to recruit Helga the healer, but it seems someone does not want her to leave. Play the cheif's game, and see if you can win. It might be good to talk to everyone in town after the cheif warns you about the last turn...

Leaky Roof: A magi north of Lower Camp, on the plus map, is looking for someone to fix their house up. NOTE: This requires level 50 masonry level to even do.

Fleesville Quests :

Cursed Healer: A healer in the village has lost her skill in healing. It seems possible a rival healer has been poisoning her potions...Note: Requires high alchemy level for main character or high intelligence before starting!

Lost Memory: A naked man lost his memories. He wants to go back to his hometown. That town is Pinesville. Take him there then talk to him.

Beloon's Innoncence: After freeing him, invite him to join. Then take him to Pinesville to visit and talk to him.

Blackwood Quests:

NOTE: Blackwood has only one plus side map.

A princess scorned: Princess Velmia is quite mad at the current ruler of the land and waits for someone to defeat the current ruler's executioner. This is considered a MAIN QUEST, and may not be finished until very late in the game.

Fire Feather: West of the city(on the plus map) is a magus who needs a fire feather for his staff. You can find one in Fleesville north of the citry (plus sign map). Be sure to check in on the magus on that map to see if he knows anything about the special firebird.

The Lycanthrope(Requires finishing quest Fire Feather and actually interaction with the lycanthrope! Do not slay it. You can injure it out first, but do not put out of misery!): After you give the magi his fire feather, you can ask about the lycanthrope in north fleesville. Apparently a certain potion can cure it...

Princess Bodyguard: A bodyguard of princess Velmia lives west of the city, on the plus map. Talk to the magus after visiting Yaropolk to find out more about what happen. Then go try to talk to him.

Legendary Sirius (requires to finish Istok's quest in Freesville): A legendary monster fish lives in Blackwood. Use the fishing bait there to lure them out. Try talking to Bodric. Trust his guts. Pick your reward.

Burnt Camp Quests:

NOTE: Burnt Camp has three plus maps on it's sides.

Feuding Leaders: There is a feud between two leaders here, Ladomir and Miromir, arguing over land. You can either use peaceful method or violent method here. Try to make it peaceful by first talking to both of them and asking them to solve it peacefully. Then ask them to be the judge as elder. Then ask them to use shovels. It is solved peacefully.

Aslak's story: Listen to Aslak's story, but be careful trusting this brigand! (NOTE: leaving the area you are taken on here lets you access this location on main map!)

Belizarius needs ingredients: A wizard found in a cave at burnt camp needs some potion ingredients. They are quite common to find. This is a quest related to the MAIN QUESTS. It is suggested you do this quest first in the Burnt Camp as it leads you to a amulet piece if you listen to what he says.

Sea Camp Quests (Requires Boat):

Camp disasters: A strange curse has effected the camp, and a male viking had a baby. Talk to Ulf after talking to the elder to find out more.

The Helmsmen: A certain helsmen has been captured. You need to talk to his wife to find out about this quest in the town. If you can, try to rescue him by going thru a cave..Make sure to "talk" to them with your weapons shealthed. The reward is worth it.

Freesville (Requires boat and sea chart!)}:

Freedom is Not Free: The elder of Freesville is being bullied by some ruffians. He wants you to get rid of them.

Voduryd the liar?: Somehow, this guy tells you he can do things, but should you believe what he tells you?

The singing items salesman: A certain merchant will sell items after the bullys are out of the village. This opens a new spot on the map! NOTE: This quest may require you to kill all the ruler's troops at a camp on Sea Camp island. This quest also is considered a MAIN QUEST!

Istok the fisherman (on plus map): Fishing is really bad due to some monsters in the water. If you kill them, it gives you quest for blackwood.

Heavens (Requires Boat and Sea Chart!):

A piece of heaven: Svyatopolk might have a special sword for you if you talk to him after checking his shop out..Also, make sure to show Viligost the sword after talking to him.

Radagast the spendthrift: Radagast borrowed too much money. Can you help him get his house back? Find Voleslav and pay him off to get the house.

Here comes the Fire: Maria is a fire initiate, but does she really want to be one? NOTE: Maria is located on a plus map around Heavens.

Mal The cursed: Mal, a cursed spirit found in the cave near Heavens cannot rest until the curse is found. Talk to the local elder about this issue.

Mirkwood (Requires Boat and Sea Chart!):

High Magi jailed: The local magi was jailed by the Ruler's force. It is your job to save them. He is located 2 plus maps away. Be careful, these monsters are strong here. Also, this quests has some restrictions. First, you must dismiss all your companions. Second, you will lose any special companions, like OLGA. Third, your weapons must be unequipped. (WARNING: I suggest doing this quest before you recruit OLGA!)

Blud need weapons: Blud needs three pieces of armor/weapons. They are:
1. Gladius
2. Eleptus
3. Cataphract Helm

Blacksmith in need: A blacksmith needs you to get rid of a swamp ghoul. It is located on same map as the magi in the plus map area.

Bugs and workarounds for them with possible fixes!
As with most games, this one too sufferes from bugs. Unfortanetly, some of these break the immersion of the game and even ruin it for some of the characters..

`If you choose the character "ANASTASIA", there is a point you need to leave the floating continent to go down to the town. The issue is, when you do, you cannot do it because the game crashes. Not sure what causes this, but there is an error when it does that follows:

"The instruction at 00429ff4 referenced memory at 0089fdd4. The memory could not be read."

FIX #1: To fix this bug, you need to turn off steam overlay under settings in steam to get it working. I have posted this fix on here and on the konung 2 forums so people can play the game properly with Anastasia. I also changed my compatibility for the game to windows 95/98. I did not realize this till i looked at local files.

FIX #2: Some player have reported that saving during the beginning of Anastasia's campaign also makes the game crash when loading to the next town. Try to avoid saving until after the battle in town (not the town you start in, but the one your going to "invade" in the storyline)..i wish to thank
Wolfy and Professional Penguin for figuring out this fix.

NOTE: If FIX #1 does not work, try FIX #2. Try them both together also may work too.

Both of these settings worked for me on a Windows 10 64 bit pc. If they don't work for you, please comment below or in the forum about it.Thank you! If you cannot get it to work, i will try to help you the best i can!

NOTE: Wolfy states that the game can still crash at some point later in the game. AS this is possibe, i am posting about it right here. This did not happen to me personally after i applied FIX#1.
Town building and expansion
In order to help a town you need several key figures in a town. The following is a list of required NPC's per town:

`Blacksmith
`Captain of Guards (Volvedern)
`Healer
`Elder of village
+any other NPC's normally found in villages

NOTE: If any of the NPC's die, there are non-replaceable. This means if you want to keep and upgrade a village, you need to keep the NPC's in it ALIVE!

As for leveling them up, you can take the captain of the guard with you on adventures and level them up just like you would your main character. This can help the npc's in the village survive an attack by royal forces.

Be aware that your skill levels of masonry, carpentry, and village management all help towards owning and creating a village.

Did you know if a building burns down, it will eventually be rebuit in the town?

You collect the money in villages from the elder, which is usually in a marked building.

The blacksmith can also help you keep a village from being overun by ruler's men. Make sure the blacksmith you put in charge has a skill level 50 or higher. The higher, the better.

Sometimes the ruler men will take your town. There usually alot of them, so a good strategy is to find a bottleneck and fight them one at a time, like in a doorway of a building. Also, since they do not heal, use poisoned weapons, and do the hit and run method also if you get ganged on. The ruler's men will not hurt innocent NPC's in town. So if a town is taken over, do not worry for the citizens of the town.

If an elder says you need to talk to a craftsman in the village, this means you need to do a quest for the village in order to obtain it.

The higher your village management level, the more money you get from tributes.
Alchemy and you: How to make alchemy in konung 2
Alchemy in Konung 2 is similiar to alchemy in konung 3. In the inventory screen, which you press "I" to view shows an empty spot at the bottom left of the character armors and such. In order to make potions and such, you need an empty glass bottle (referred to as a empty can) and the correct ingredient. Most ingredients are either found by looking around a area, buying from a merchant, killing a monster, or given as a quest reward. Here are a few recipe's i figured out on my own and support from VyKinG (with some help from the game itself!):

Oil Recipe:
1X empty glass bottle
1x earthnut

Healing Balm Recipe:
1x empty glass bottle
1x white root

Poison Recipe:
1x empty glass bottle
1x poision stinger

Span Recipe:
1x Healing Balm
1x Oil

Antidote recipe:
1x Poision potion
1x Healing balm potion

Pure Teardrop Recipe:
1x Oil potion
1x Poison potion

Elixir of Wisdom:
1x Span potion
1x Poison potion

Potion (yea, that is what it is called!):
1x Span potion
1x Healing Balm potion

Hi, excellent guide. I have been playing this game for years and always go back and do an in depth completion. There are however 1 or 2 things that i can never remember. Number 1 - there are 3 musicians in the Sea camp asking your hero to "judge" them. I know this can be resolved from previous playthrough's, I just cant remember which skills/attributes trigger the line of dialogue that makes them disappear can you help with this? Number 2 - Is there a way to talk to Constantine and complete that part of the quest without fighting him? I have Michael's ring and maxed out charisma and intelligence and always end up fighting him. I only ask because in the back of my mind I seem to remember it being possible, however, I may be wrong. Fighting and killing him isn't an issue. I could easily kill him in a few hits but just want to know if there is an alternate ending. If you take the time to read this and reply, thanks in advance.

Other methods to lower your health (but need more party member to use the above exploit) are as below:

1. Run around and kill things. Let yourself be attacked. Bit risky.
2. Run around and let yourself be attacked and be poisoned. Extremely risky, cause when you travel on the map you'll lose health quicker.
3. Drink the blue elixir, I forgot what it's name. However, there's a limit to how much your health is reduced.
4. This is something that I just found out, drink unknown potion (potion that is wrongly mixed). By drinking unknown potion, at full health you'll reduce your health by half (maybe infinitely). So if you're at 100, you'll reduce your health to 50. If you're at 50, it'll be 25. By using this method, you can pretty much guarantee that you won't need to spend any EXP on healing (well maybe except 1 or 2).

Further pro tip: What if you only have 1 party member? No problem! You can also ingest poison. Poison will reduce your health depending on the concentration of the poison so be careful. But, you can ingest potion and request your healer to heal you. The usual problem is that your healer can only heal you to a maximum health depending on their healing level. However, the mechanic here is that if let's say you have 10 level in healing, you can only heal up to a maximum of 10 HP and this action will increase your healing level but 1. But, because you are poisoned your health will keep on decreasing so the healing level can catch up again to the lowering HP. I think this is the only way to use this exploit if you only have one party member.

Pro tip: You can increase the healing stats of a character if they are healing any character. With this even if your character's healing level is at 1, you can straight away increase it to 100 albeit with a bit of work. What you will need is:

1. Have 2 character at damaged at or below the level of the level
2. Make the healer character a healer at a village that you own
3. Spam heal your party using that healer.

With this, you don't need to pay for healing (cause it's your village) and your party member can easily gain the level for healing.

@Monkagiga: i guess the closest to recruiting characters like that in konung would be like baldurs gate games or icewind dale games. Sorry for the late answer.

Glad to see you guys are interested in this game. What a nostalgia it is for me to read this guide and the comments. Anyway, I've been trying to search for an isometric fantasy game, with town management and the ability to recruit fighters, to no avail. Can someone recommend some similar games? I've played Konung 3 but didn't like it. I wish if they only made 100 more games like Konung 2, it is so perfect.
