In Game Bio: Look out, this little fungi loves it when a crowds around. His farts have a chance to poison, with the potential to hit everyone surrounding. Small chance to deflect projectiles. Weak to mallets. Immune to poison.

Summary: The Mushroom unit can be found in almost any area of the game but are most common near the green sludge areas on the world map. Like most world map creatures, Mushrooms can be encountered as an enemy but can be captured to be used as a playable character on a team. The Mushroom acts as a disruptive unit, utilizing its poison attributes to aggitate enemy support characters and break up any formations.

AOE Attack: The mushroom unit's main attack is a poison fart cloud, providing 2-5 damage to units in its immediate area and applying the poison affect to any creatures hit by the attack. While this area of effect attack is not able to deal any significant amount of damage, the poison effect applied to the enemies contributes consistent damage for 1-3 turns after the attack, making it extremely effective. The fart cloud has the chance to linger on empty hexes during the turn following the attack, which will poison any units that moves thru that area. Avoid friendly units that can be affected by poison, as they can be hit by the fart attack as well.

Melee Attack: The mushrooms second attack is a head butt and will only target units in adjacent hexes that are immune to poison such as Electrobots or other Mushrooms. This head butt does do slightly more damage than the fart cloud attack, providing 4-7 damage, but only targets one unit at a time making it far less effective than the fart cloud.

Viability In Battle: On the battlefield, the mushroom unit should be utilized as a disruptive unit, to be sent into the heart of the opponents forces to shake up any plans or formations they may have had planned. Mushrooms can also be used to flank, moving around the main battle to agitate support units like mascots, cupcakes, and ranged units. They should not be positioned close to friendly units and should always find themselves surrounded by enemies, shifting back and forth between these enemies to ensure that it has poisoned as many units as possible. Although it sounds counter productive, mushrooms should be considered a throw away unit as it will become the main target of the opposing force as you work it into the enemy lines, farting everywhere along the way

Team Ups: Mushrooms do well when paired with Electrobots and other mushrooms, as the posion fart attack cannot hurt either unit, should they find themselves in close proximity to each other during the battle. Zombies also take reduced damage from poison and could also be considered. Gnomes and Mushrooms make a great team, with the Gnomes launch ability giving increased mobility to the fungi and allowing them to get into the heat of battle quickly.
