Chapter 1: Choosing the right weapons
Alright. So you want to be a medic main, right? Well, first off you want to make the right choice on your weapons.
Primary
  • Stock
Pretty much good in every situation.
  • Crusader's crossbow
Ya think this weapon will heal your teammates like an angel right? ERRR WRONG! This is a weapon only for long (and close) range and for teammates low on health so you can heal them quickly.
  • Blutsauger
Battle medic! Good for situations when you don't have any teammates around and low on health - as long as you see any enemies around.
  • Overdose
At first glance this weapon may seem like your best bet for escaping certain scenarios, and thats where most new players get this wrong. This is objectively one of the worst medic primaries.
Medigun
  • Stock
    Ubercharge. Good in every situation.
  • Kritzkreig
Get good, eat crits. Great in mvm, good in payload when pushing.
  • Quick-Fix
Rocket jumping soldiers? Tired of the normal mediguns? This one's for you. The quick fix allows you to mimic the momentum of classes which have more mobility thanks to their explosive primaries.
  • Vaccinator
Useful when you don't have enough time to build up uber, as you can block damage from a certain source when you need to. It even stores 4 ubers! This is very useful, assuming you're terrible and waste the first three.
Melee
  • Stock
Not bad yet not very good either. (Reskins are better tho)
  • Pan
Crits? Take it. (You scared the crits out of me)
  • Conscientious Objector
Come on, youre really gonna use this? (Signed by yours truely.)
  • Freedom Staff
'Murica. Hell yeah. (Mostly used on sniper though.)
  • Bat outta hell
(I don't have a joke for this one)
  • Memory maker
Did you come in finals for the Saxxy's? (No, they just hacked it in.)
  • Ham
Nom Nom Nom. (Beat your meat on your opponents! Oh wait dear god no why did i put that)
  • Necro Smasher
Whoa, smashing! (There's already a terrible joke here, you don't need another one. Trust me, you don't.)
  • Crossing guard
    Safety first, kiddos!
  • Saxxy
Congrats. (We did it, mate. -Demoman, Team Fortress 2)
  • Golden Pan
Oh yes! (Prepare to get bombarded with trade requests.)
  • Ubersaw
ITS META (But don't ever go out of your way to melee an enemy. Don't go swinging your ubersaw at a full health soldier with a beggar's bazooka.)
  • Vita-Saw
Too op, no. (It's not op after jungle inferno, so dont use it)
  • Amputator
Yeah, sure! (Hide around a corner and taunt away! SImilar to the golden pan, except you get bombarded by salty people instead of trade requests.)
  • Solemm Vow
It's.. ok i guess? (An aussie solemn vow would look pretty cool.)

Chapter 2: Making a loadout
Now, some people may think that you are a useless medic if you have a random loadout, right? Well, in this chapter we'll cover some of (but not all) the medic combos that you'll need to win a game!
EAT CRITS, Pusher loadout
  • Any primary
  • Kritzkreig
  • Ubersaw
This loadout is useful in mvm. But, of course, also useful in maps such as pl_upward and 2fort for clearing out an entire sentry nest of engies with your soldier bf.
Ubercharge!
  • Any primary
  • Stock Medigun
  • Any Melee
Most basic loadout, good for beginners.
A fallen angel. Or in this case, a jumping one.
  • Crusader's Crossbow
  • The Quick-Fix
  • Any Meele
Pocket rocket jumping soldiers and heal teammates that are calling rapidly from afar. My top pic for the Medic.
The mheavy, a sub-class
  • Overdose
  • Vaccinator
  • Uber-saw
You'll be a battle worn medic with this one! A friend to pocket you is optional, but reccomended.
Chapter 3: No one likes a battle medic
This is gonna be a irregular chapter, covering the statistics of a battle medic.
What is a battle medic?
A battle medic is a medic who murders every single enemy that's in front of him. They're alone, they don't need their teammates, and doesn't support them either. (Except when they want to leech uber off of you.)
(It's okay, fight. It's not like you're contributing anything to the team anyways.)
But being a battle medic isn't bad - In some gamemodes, you'll have to rely on yourself rather than your team. *COUGH COUGH* 2FORT *COUGH COUGH*
Okay, but what is the Battle medic's weapon combo?
  • Blutsauger or Overdose
  • Quick-Fix or Vaccinator
  • Uber-saw or Stock
Alright, that's it for this chapter.
Chapter 4: Pocketing
Pocket medics are pretty rare these days, but this chapter will cover what is a pocket and what it does.

1. What is a pocket medic?
A pocket medic is a medic that only heals 1 person, since the medic only heals one person, it is considerd a "only helping the soldier but not helping the team" hence the name, pocket medic.
2. Are there any pocket medics for hire?
Yes. There is a group that promotes hiring pocket medics and 15 minutes for 1 scrap.
3. Can I get a pocket medic? :3
Yes! You can get a pocket medic but they aren't easy to find :/ (Unless you ask a friend, assuming you have any friends.)
4. I wanna be a pocket medic, who should I pocket?
Mainy soldiers, heavies or demomen. But make sure you have the right situational medigun.

(On a side note: If you're pocketing someone, you won't be using your primary or melee, so solemn vow is normally good, since it allows you to see enemy health, letting you know when it's time to go.)
Chapter 5: Picking the right cosmetics
yes
Your team knows they have a good medic if they have cool cosmetics. Right? Riiiight?

The Medival Medic
  • Bucketer's bucket helm
that's it

Pink as hell
  • Vintage Tyrolean (Must be pink)
  • Blighted Beak (Must also be pink)
  • The Ward

The Battle Medic
  • Heer's Helmet
  • Heat Of Winter
  • Gaiter Guards

(Also, don't forget the beak. Never forget the beak.)
Chapter 6: How to not get kicked as a battle medic
You actually have to act like a sniper.
No, not by sniping, by
1. Being polite.
2. Being efficient.
3. Having a plan to kill everyone you meet. (Except your teammates. Then you'll still get kicked.)

i use the quick fix ebcause:
im a causal player, so ususally everyone is damaged and is somewaht around the saem area.
it allows me to spread heals evry effectively (chers to the faster healing, and yes its pretty darn significant),
i can (sometimes) use its boosting ability to be able to rush into battle via scout
the uber is great, as again everyone in pubs is never ever EVER at full or good health
