Tips & Tricks How to be a Offlaner

Ursprungligen skrivet av Dota 2 Wiki:
Offlane heroes are those with abilities that allow them to solo the "suicide lane" (top lane for Radiant, bottom lane for Dire). Having an offlaner in a team's lineup allows the team to also have a Jungler or run a tri-lane with less risk of losing the suicide lane to the opposing lane. In many cases, the offlaner may have to forgo a great deal of farm in order to simply stay alive, and as such may be on the back foot much of the time. Heroes with the ability to escape from certain death are best suited to this role, as the offlaner's first priority should be to not die in lane. Against skilled opponents, the offlaner may be extremely under-leveled compared to other heroes on the field, and as such it is generally unwise to put a hard carry in the offlane because they may not get enough farm to obtain the items they need to snowball into the late-game. Choose a Hero with a High Degree of Survivability

Heroes who are able to survive well do not have to have a high HP. Another factor you need to consider when choosing a offlane hero is the escape mechanism[/i], ease of farming despite difficult situations and dependence on item.

Do the Creep Blocking

One of the things that make the offlaner difficult to farm safely is the creep meeting point that is close to the enemy tower. If you stay reckless, your position will be vulnerable to the danger of the gank from the enemy forest direction. To solve the problem, you can do the creep blocking to bring the creep encounter closer to the friend tower.

In fact, you can also do creep blocking as well as forcing the enemy creep to advance further towards the tower friend. This is done by allowing the ranged creep to go first and die before melee creep to the point of contact.

The reason, ranged creep has a great deal of damage. If your ranged creeps die first, enemy creep waves will have more power and must be forced to move forward. If executed properly, then you can turn offlane to safelane.

Block Enemy Neutral Creep

Even if you've done creep blocking well, but enemies can still restore the creep retreat as it should with the creep pulling method. But you can keep your enemies back to their safe zone by blocking at the neutral creep spawning point.

Whatever Happens, Don't Feed The Enemy

Being in offlane means you will be dealing with an enemy carry and one/two enemy supporters. This means that if you win this lane, then your opponent will be difficult to develop. But the opposite happens, if you continue to die, automatically your opponent will gain Gold and EXP.

Therefore, whatever happens, as much as possible don't die and never feed the enemy continuously. Not making extra Gold from creeps is better than having to benefit the enemy.
Yea you will also gain EXP while keeping a safe distance with enemy positions.

Although rare in public games, leaving offlane to do farm in the jungle is a wise choice.
This usually happens if the lane you face is really aggressive and the enemy doesn't give you the chance to gain EXP though.

Offlaner is the most dangerous and exciting role in a Dota 2 match. You must play safely and not feed. But on the other hand you also have to get EXP and extra Gold to help your team when clash.
