ok so the basics are pretty simple.

U get 3 things at the start.

A pick, an axe, and a shortsword.

The tools are all copper, they are horrible at everything so you should upgrade as soon as possible. The sword is like poking enemies with a stick. it's absolute trash. GET RID OF IT ASAP.


Now, you might find yourself in this situation.
If you're wondering, you can't swim without a flipper, which is an accessory you might get later. SO DON'T DIVE INTO DEEP WATER OR YOU WILL DROWN.


Look at that jump.

You can't make it, btw. A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T GET THIS. YOU'LL HAVE TO STACK SOME BLOCKS TO GET UP.

This green blob to the right of me here is a SLIME. A GREEN ONE TO BE SPECIFIC. It is the weakest slime in the game. During the day, they are neutral. If you touch them, you'll take damage, but they won't chase you unless you attack them. At night, they will turn hostile and attack whether or not you attacked. (Be aware that slimes underground will be hostile at any time of day) Most enemies do not function like this, they are mostly COMPLETELY hostile.









The orange patch above me is an ore. This one is copper. They all look different and become more common as you get deeper underground.
In this same picture, if you look to the left of me, you'll see a pot on the ground. these contain low level loot and will break and drop said loot if attacked with any weapon.

this is the very basic basics. but maybe you won't die in 2 minutes. cuz u'll probably die a lot.
