Custom Transition Screens
This guide is about creating custom transition screens between levels of your campaign. These have been used to great effect by THELEGOMack in his HUNTER SNOWFALL campaign, DannyJudas+Doctor Wizard (in Tex Mex), and by myself in FROM THE ASHES (Vengeance 5), as seen below:

Step 1: Get HLM WAD Explorer.
Step 2: Get Paint.net

Any serious editors will have these already, so here are the sprite sheets you need to edit to change the transition screens:

Jungle + mountain skyline (Jungle, Night and Day all use these spritesheets in various colour schemes):
rmJungleDayScene, rmJungleScene, sprBigPalmTree, sprMountain, sprMountain, sprNickeBigTree, sprNickeGreenery, sprNickePalmTree, sprNickePalmTreeBroken.

City (City, only appears in 2 colour schemes: intro title screen and outro):
rmJungleScene, rmScene, sprPalmTrees, sprSceneFence, sprSceneGround, sprSea, sprSeaGlimmer, sprSkylineBack, sprSkylineFront.

You may also add your own colouring to these sheets, but for full effect, it's best to use a uniform white so the psychedelic colours can do their thing. Of course, this means you could create far more detailed images if you wanted to.

It also might not be necessary to edit every single one of these spritesheets, but my transititions did not quite look complete until I did so.

Good luck and have fun!

Okay, figured it out, took too long cuz i thought that the sprites have to be replaced, not rmscene/rmjungle

No, it's not like a music mod. Just works the same as replacing any other sprites.

possibly. I'd only recommend using Paint.net for this.

Could it also be perhaps that i may be using GIMP instead of paint?

I tried to change almost every asset in the Interface-JungleChapter and still nothing happened, must i patch this together like making a music mod?

It might be the wrong tree. I think each transition screen has its own set of assets.

Hi, when i try changing one specific sprite as a test, lets take sprBigPalmTree as an example, i make my own custom sprite and replace the original, but when i load in game and try my level, the palm tree still stays there and nothing is replaced, i also tried speGreenery and that one didnt work

im late af for this, but if you want to use the bloody screen effect you have to name your level after one of the levels that uses the effect. So if you name your level the same as one of the last levels of each act(final cut, execution, deathwish, casualties, release and take over), you get the effect. pretty sure there is no other way.
